WALL-E (2008) | FULL LENGTH REACTION

Hey guys!

It's time for the latest Patreon poll winner... WALL-E!!!

This was such an adorable and well made movie!!  Super neat that with minimal dialogue, so much can be expressed.  WALL-E and EVE are amazing and really fun (and the cockroach of course!)

I like how most of my questions ended up being answered throughout the movie (that's usually the case, but I still always have a lot of questions 🀣)

I'm glad that WALL-E made such a big change for the humans, and it feels like there are a lot of things to take away from the movie, like how we should be less on on phones/computers 😨

In all honesty, seeing nature and the sky are great ways to just disconnect, it's what I enjoy doing.  It's marvelous and really neat!

I think the first half of the movie has the least amount of dialogue in a non-silent movie, ever.

I hope you enjoy this, I certainly did!!

Reminder that you need your own copy of the movie to watchalong, and that there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

WALL-E (2008) | FULL LENGTH REACTION

Comments

The cockroach single handedly fixed Earth. There's no changing my mind now! 🀣

Verowak

I'll have to remember that, thank you! I haven't seen many cartoon/animated movies, so makes sense lol

Verowak

The sound effects in Wall-E were so perfect, it really made me feel like it was real

Verowak

I always assumed that a lot of time passed while EVE and WALL-E went to the Axium. They went all that way without hyperdrive? Obviously the fault in this is the pet cockroach (unless it's secretly mechanical :p).

Don Roshi

The greenery at the end can be taken either way. I like to think that WALL-E found one plant, and with everything happening, EVE and him didn't really get to scout for more, so in their absence, more grew and became visible. Welcome in to Patreon!!! 😍 There are a lot of things to watch

Verowak

The one thing that I have questioned lately is ... at the end, when the camera pulls away and we come across all the greenery. I'm not sure if the greenery came after they landed and started to regrow things or if it was there all along and WALL-E was meant to find that single plant. I want to believe it was the latter. Now that I have joined the Patreon club over here I'm sorry to say that you're now stuck with me. lol What shall I watch next? Stay tuned. Take care!!

It is so easy to miss when movies add small Easter eggs to the actual end credit scenes. But as a small rule, cartoons are notorious for putting fun things in end credit scenes.

DarthChef

I watched it afterwards since it was pointed out to me. I've never watched end credits, so it slipped right by me :(

Verowak

I noticed from the reaction you didn't watch the end credits. While there were no traditional mid or end credit scenes, if you watch the credits it tells the story of how the people were able to adapt with their new life on earth.

DarthChef

Exactly any sound effect you hear is all from the mind of Ben and he did a great job with Wall-E too. From the robotic filters for all the droids to the sounds of the ship running and even Wall-E's tread sounds.

Michlale

Oh I know about Racacoonie 🀣 Those are movies I need to see, yeah! Toy Story is near the top of my "animated movies to watch next" list!!

Verowak

OH really?! He is absolutely amazing!! So he's responsible for the amazing seismic charge from Episode 2!! That sound was epic

Verowak

It's such an adorable and just well made movie!! I haven't seen many Pixar movies, but this one feels like it'll stand out no matter what. The way the story is delivered is just so different from usual

Verowak

I love WALL-E! Ratatouille, Toy Story and 'Monsters, inc.' are must see animated movies. Pretty sure you'll love them.

King_Panarisi

Ben Burtt (Sound designer) is the same guy who gives you all the iconic sounds and ambience of the Star Wars movies. What a legend.

Michlale

Glad you enjoyed my all time favourite Pixar movie! Can’t really explain why it’s my fav; it just ticks all my mental and emotional boxes for film viewing I guess. And yes the way they are able to convey so much without real dialogue for the first half is something special.
