Just seeing a helmet doesn't guarantee death though, so I was hoping that he wasn't actually dead. A small part of me is still hoping to see him pop up in another episode, and they can come rescue him.
I don't like it when Anakin and Tarkin have conversations. I forbid it! It just makes me angry to know that more people are already supporting Palpatine and his evil ways. I imagine that Tarkin is aware of what Palpatine wants to do, but I'm not 100% sure.
Ahsoka's uncertainty is really good to see. She's not overconfident, she doubts herself and she's learning from it. She has strong opinions and ideas, and is not afraid to say them. I really think Anakin is the perfect Master for her to become a great person.
I'm shocked that Tarkin's orders were to deliver the message directly to Palpatine π

Just having the Jedi take a battle stance with their lightsabers was enough hype! Then seeing the battle go down, and master Piell using Anakin as a stepping stone or a ride was great!! I don't remember any clones from episode 3 except Cody since he hands Obi-Wan his lightsaber, but I will say that Fives does not survive π

2023-07-23 12:33:35 +0000 UTCI remember people saying that the first two seasons are good, but not great, and that things get better in season 3. I didn't get it at the time since I really enjoyed the first two seasons, but now I get it! Things are picking up it seems, and I'm even more excited to see what will happen from here on out! Oh master Piell being beside little Ani in episode 1 is amazing! I never would have remembered that at all. Clone Wars has been amazing to flesh out background characters! I'm hoping to recognize more Jedi when I rewatch the prequels lol They are doing such amazing things for Ahsoka's development. Every episode shows her growing up, and learning from someone or a certain situation, it's really amazing. I would love more Star Wars animated series since it seems like it's some of the best content they do.

I love seeing the various lightsaber colors fighting against droids and the anoobas with the glow of the lava as ambient lighting. I also think the animators did a great job in showcasing good action scenes for each individual jedi throughout these three episodes. And yes, you came to accept the hard reality that one domino remains standing. What do you think? Does Fives survive until the end of the war?

The Mortis arc is where a lot of people tend to say that the show really takes a turn both in focus and in quality. I don't remember you outright saying it but it's pretty in line with how you've viewed these last two arcs and this is generally where people refer to when they say the show gets better. Buckle up I don't recall seeing it commented before in this arc, but master Piell was seen standing by little Ani at the end of episode 1 during the celebration scene. Clone wars loves to take background characters from the prequels and give them story arcs (Luminara, Bariss, Plo, Piell, and more). It was discussed in previous episodes of this arc, but this is another step in Ahsoka's development. We saw her "force" her way into the mission and now you can look back and say that she was meant to be there. She acted like a panicked kid when master Piell was dying and saying she basically needed to find an adult instead of taking on the responsibility. Her attitude change between then and when they got back and she was asked about the codes shows development even within the episode. She's continuously taking steps to go from kid to adult.
