Help Me Choose The Sleep-Aid Format

2024-11-30 22:42:21 +0000 UTCI think the mix can be incredibly disorienting, because it doesn't reflect something you'd hear IRL. Furthermore, with the current panning speed, more time is spend 'between the ears' than 'at each ear'. Consider making the spacing between the pans longer. Finishing a sentence or two at each ear, andaybe adding a sfx instead of talking in the pan, to symbolize physical movement. Then continue talking on the other side. Lastly, I think pans should be used sparsely, as they are very intimate.

2024-11-30 20:06:44 +0000 UTCI do like the switching ears when it's sprinkled in occasionally. However, when I'm trying to sleep I don't wear my earbuds because it's a bit uncomfortable when laying on the side. So the 3D effect would get lost on me when I actually use the audio as sleep aid.

2024-11-30 17:54:21 +0000 UTCI love Whispered audios as much a the other person. But it really depends on what you try to accomplish. For a Roleplay, i preffer Mix of both. But if Entireñy Sleep aid. Whispered audios are great. Where i would mix both is something like Positive affirmations or Comfort audios. You do what you can.

2024-11-30 16:45:37 +0000 UTCI personally prefer a mixture of both - it keeps the listener guessing what's to come next, and you can transition between the two based on the intimacy in the context - more intimate means ear-to-ear, less intimate means both ears.
