Perhaps attempt to attack Bella and try to snap Maya out of it. This might lead to the mentioned consequences not even god can save us from. Unless that was a bluff and the god that was talked about in the "Making Deals with the Devil" decides to intervene and get the listener out of harms way temporarily but reconsiders once she notices the listener has been turned.

If Bella has this ability, we should as well, and Bella should direct us through this. It could be a bonding experience between Zilla and the listener. Intimate direction, she could come close and hold our chin, hands on our back, describing what we would feel as we suck their blood?
