If you ever get around to watching About Schmidt, that is a movie where Jack Nicholson does not play Jack Nicholson. You can really see his range, in that one.

2025-05-10 02:18:18 +0000 UTCI have to admit. I was kinda concerned your initial dislike of Melvin would carry throughout the film. He isn’t easy to empathize with. That is, unless you look deeper into his character. He’s a flawed human that comes across as hateful until you see his soft underbelly exposed (as Carol told him at the restaurant). Thoroughly enjoyed watching this film alongside your reactions.
