You recognize the blonde actress wearing a tracksuit from glee advertisements because that’s pretty much what she wore all the time. This film was a 90s classic the train crash scene and the waterfall we’re both pretty iconic. This film and tv series has been spoofed many times or redone. There was a sequel in the late 90s with Tommy Lee Jones call US marshals which was an OK basic action movie but nothing special. They remade this with Kiefer Sutherland around 2020, for the short-lived Quibi service. I agree with all of your gripes about the movie I do think it’s too long I think the reason they did the whole subplot with the drug trial was to show that he was trying to save lives so it wasn’t just about him even though I think it could’ve been executed better.

The 60s show was Richard traveling from town to town hunting the one armed man but each week he would find some problem in the town he had to solve before he moved on I think he may have followed the train tracks which is where the train stuff comes in. The finale to the TV series what is the most watched episode of scripted television until the resolution of the who shot JR cliffhanger and the series finale of mash which still holds the record as the most watched television program of all time.

Enjoyed the reaction guys! I agree with your comment about this being a different kind of action movie from those of the mid to late 80's. It was originally a TV series in the 1960's (that I have not seen) and won the Emmy for drama series in 1966. If anyone has watched the series, I'd be interested in your comments. Harrison Ford was prolific in movies of the 90's. He was everywhere. Films with the Jack Ryan character come to mind. Also have one quibble.. I like Tommy Lee Jones as an actor and he gave nice grit to this role. However, he should not won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar over Ralph Fiennes in Schindler's List that year. My thoughts.
