2024-07-01 15:09:20 +0000 UTCThis is a mostly true story. Tommy (Pesci) isn’t a real person, but Henry, Karen, Jimmy and Paulie were. Henry lasted for seven years in witness protection, until he was arrested for selling cocaine in 1987 and was expelled from the program. He divorced Karen and spent the rest of his life going in and out of jail until he died in 2012 of natural causes. Apparently nobody ever tried to whack him. Maybe the old guard had no more authority by that point? Both Jimmy and Paulie died in prison in the 90’s. Karen is still alive.
