Heads up on my upcoming project

To my patrons and followers. I've started work on my next project of the series " Battle of Supes". My current and some of my ex-patrons know about that project, since I already have 2 finished issues already. I started a poll at the beginning of December 2022, but shortly after I went to the hospital for a surgery and I couldn't do a lot the next few weeks. January was busy - I was working with patrons and clients, and didn't have time for comics - including "Nicholas the Bard" itself.
Anyways....
Battle of Supes: Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna, will be silly utterly stupid if not funny, very gay (by the meaning of funny and lesbian) and according to my current concepts it'll have up to 32 pages. That's a lot , but in fact every page will have mostly 2 panels , which is not much, BUT some of the panels /not all of them/ will be animated, because I want to make the scenes more clear.

Since the time is not on my side - in any of the cases, I started work with the same "airbrush" tool that I use to make the sketches for the illustrations and yes, the "animations" are still crispy.

I stopped taking commissions until the end of this month with hopes that I'll do as many pages of the comic as possible. I'm far away of the idea that I'll be able to finish those until the end of the month, but at least most of these would be of help : after all - the first week of the next month I should spare on doing the requests for $25 tiers, and then the commissions time will come... and Nicholas ... and other "dumb " ideas , .... and  "Battle of Supes" , which BTW is for my patrons eyes only.

As for Nicholas - there's one more page to come before it's end. By that I don't mean the end of the comic entirely - but the end of that part. This "final " page will put three new characters in the story , and those will be females. And that's all for now.

So here we go guys - I hope I'll meet you the next month - I'm wishing you to be healthy and wealthy ! :)

Sincerely yours,

Dave, "Mavis" Rooder.

You know I'm a big fan of superheroine stuff, it's actually why I became a patron way back when I encountered the Wonder Woman comic you did (Fun House I think it was called). I really like the look of the images and enjoyed the corruption themes and liked that it was a full story, rather than one off images and it was nice to see it become more like a proper comic as the story continued (pages with multiple panels and not just the single {but linked} images it started as). I must confess that for some time I have considered unsubscribing. This is not a criticism of you or your work, but I simply felt that what you have been producing hasn't really matched up with my interests (superheroines and full comics). Now that I see you're leaning into these "battle of the supes" I am reconsidering ending my subscription, but I have got a few suggestions based off of the previous issues and superheroine content you've produced. One thing I find is a big part of what I (and a lot of, and maybe most others) enjoy about Superheroine content is the "unconsensual" themes that are commonly involved. This doesn't have to be full on r*pe, but can instead be things like mind control and coercion (like forced stripping) or even some kind of voyeurism (like destroyed costumes). The key thing with these sort of themes is that the heroine doesn't want the thing that's happening to happen to them (e.g they have to be mind controlled to have sex with the villain, or they're embarrassed when their costumes is destroyed). We've seen a bit of this in comics you've produced, but if I had to make one criticism of your work so far, is the heroines are maybe not as chaste as I like them to be. Even going back to the Wonder Woman funhouse story, other than getting trapped, there wasn't anything done to Wonder Woman (like being subject to mind control) to justify her transformation from wholesome superheroine to perverted slut. I would have liked to have seen something like a "super aphrodisiac" used on her or even just some kind of mind control (Hypnosis for instance). I did like the part in the recent battle of the supes comic when Elektra entered Harley's mind but Harley's tricked her into thinking she was a patient and got her to "perform" in front of her. Also the "hammer of horny" was acceptable as a means to justify the heroines actions. I think maybe what was lacking in the story was an explanation for the broader context. Like who supplied the hammer of Horny and who put Elektra and Harley into the situation they found themselves in, and where are they? If you'd added in something like an omnipotent magically being who has trapped them in some strange magical dimensions which they can only escape by playing along, then that would have improved the comic I think, but regardless the point I want to convey to you is the point I made earlier which is if you continue with these supes comics (and I encourage you to) please consider making use of the "unconsensual" themes I described and please make sure the heroines are "good girls" made to do "bad" things. As I said before I think I am far from alone among superheroine fans when it comes to appreciating this themes. Obviously you're free to completely ignore my suggestions, but hopefully you can incorporate some or all of them and in turn I can continue to support you as a patron.
