@William - Accidents happen, and you just acknowledged yours, but the problem hasn't been resolved yet. You can still edit out the spoiler or delete the entire comment. Please do one of those ASAP, as it can't be explained away anymore. I was afraid of this happening, so I tried to redirect the topic, away from spoiler territory. My goal was to indirectly draw your attention to the issue while downplaying the spoiler to protect anime only fans. I know everyone had good intentions, but unfortunately, they've essentially called attention to the spoiler for everyone to see. It feels like this was a lose lose situation, but I'm hopeful for a resolution of some kind.

2023-08-15 01:48:37 +0000 UTC@chris I forgot some y’all haven’t read the manga but Hyorinmaru is narratively the strongest ice zanpakuto within Soul Society this is stated numerous times throughout the series placing it above Rukia's Sode No Shirayuki What’s makes Rukia unique her Zanpakuto, Sode no Shirayuki allows Rukia to control the temperature around to her to create and manipulate ice. Toshiro on the other hand Hitsugaya's Zanpakuto's main ability is the manipulation and creation of ice, this creation can be done in a few ways like generating ice through the blade of the sword or by manipulating the water particles in the atmosphere around him, with such control over water and ice Hitsugaya can even manipulate the weather around him, usually causing it to condense and fill the sky with dark clouds, said clouds can also release ice snowflakes from within. That’s how they are different so they have a similar power(ice manipulation) but the way they do it is different it wouldn’t make sense for the strongest ice type Zanpakutō to not be able to hit those levels of cold.

If I remember correctly, he couldn't control his powers prior to joining the Gotei 13. Still, it feels weird to call him an adult when he still looks like a kid. lol If I'm being honest, the concept of people aging in Soul Society has always kinda confused me. The aging process seems to work differently depending on who you look at, like Yamamoto, Byakuya, Unohana, Toshiro, etc. They almost seem to age at different speeds.

Absolute zero is normally stated to be the coldest temperature and nothing is capable of surpassing its temperature. The entire bases around rukai zanpakuto and what seperates it from Toshiro is her ability to reach that temperature. If Toshiro was capable of reaching beyond her then that literally makes rukai zanpakuto useless and not unique as every zanpakuto should be. There is no need to overthink the clear way kubo was trying to protray rukai power and how it differs from Toshiro zanpakuto.

2023-08-14 01:31:03 +0000 UTCAdult toshiro can stop all matter which would be colder than what Rukia can do the statement of what would happen at absolute zero is based on an obsolete interpretation of temperature from the kinetic molecular theory. From quantum theory we now know that particle motion can’t completely cease even if absolute zero could be reached. One way of understanding this is with the Uncertainty Principle. Adult toshiro on the other hand can halt all matter. Plus he simply put scales her tremendously.

2023-08-14 01:19:50 +0000 UTCI don't think Toshiro has competition when it comes to his zanpakuto. They are two different. Toshiro controls water molecules in the air and rukai controls temperature. Rukai ice is deadlier as it can reach the lowest temperature possible but Toshiro ice is massively more versatile and it's abilities are endless. So I would say Toshiro still has the strongest ice type zanpakuto. Rukai bankai may be more deadly but it has drawbacks unlike Toshiro.

2023-08-14 00:20:59 +0000 UTCWell, it looks like Rukia is in luck, cause Soul Society happens to have multiple squads without a Captain right now. --- 4th Division doesn't have a captain now that Unohana is gone. --- 7th Division has a speechless canine for its captain, so they might be hiring. --- 8th Division doesn't have a captain now that Kyoraku was promoted to Head Captain. In other words, the Gotei 13 is almost 25% captain-less right now. Maybe our girl Rukia could fill one of those vacant spots... or maybe she could just replace one of the Vizards (they don't do much).

He has insane vocal range! Also the reaction to Byakuya's acknowledgment to Rukia & her Bankai was such a tear jerk.
