I think I understand what andrew was saying with the movie thing. It's not that the crew completely doesn't exist, but that the people/equipment/procedures required to create the movie itself do not exist within the scope of the plot (unless the plot demands it e.g. fourth wall break). They can all be people who exist in the universe of the movie (assuming the movie doesn't take place in a totally different universe like lord of the rings or something), but they are not a couple feet away from the main characters at all times like they are in real life during filming. Andrew exists in the same universe as Paparazzi, even if he never comes into the plot or is on screen, because it is assumed to take place in our universe and there is no evidence that proves he ISN'T in the universe.

I'm catching up all the episodes I missed while I was in Italy, and I can't wait to hear about Geoff and Gavin in my hometown of Detroit. As soon as I saw the pic of the the orange bottle I knew it had to be Faygo. Didn't they have Red Pop?

AArthriticGamer

You manage to put uncredited Willem Dafoe in the credits, but there have been a number of Last Great Tier supporters who you have yet to credit. Interesting.

AArthriticGamer

Uncredited Willem Dafoe at the end was great

Nicholas Zook Brimer

Geoff, an alcoholic, worried about the stigma of being a sugary soda guy tickled me for some reason.

GordoniousCrnch

Geoff really missed out. As a North Carolinian, Cheerwine is Gods gift to earth.

Kile Dube

I view movies much the same way Geoff does. I see every movie as happening in my timeline. Movies that have fantastical things in them still take place in my timeline but in different universes

Michael

I'm late to this episode but around the time of the episode airing as well as at the moment I have also had a weird amount of anxiety. I don't know what it is this month but it's been weird

On movies, it very much depends. If I’m watching Star Wars, I don’t assume Pizza Hut exists out of frame. Same goes for period movies, like The Patriot, or 1917. Now if it’s a modern setting on earth, I assume it doesn’t matter if they exist unless there’s either an ad placement for said company, in which case I extrapolate this is nearly 1 to 1 to reality, or a prominent knockoff like Pizza Cabana or something, it’s like all the fake brands prop masters use, if you know and notice them, it defines it clearly as a set. Take Wayne’s World for example. It’s poking fun, breaking the third wall but feels like overall it takes place in the real world, even though it’s just .5 layers deeper than a normal movie.

Neo_Baggins

Andrew's whole movie perspective on existence made zero sense.

Ryan Pattison

I think I know why Andrew always has to pee in the middle of the night now. If 3 hours of being awake in bed before sleep is normal that is a lot of his body is in high power mode time and he is not empying the tank before low power mode.

Matthew Hughes

I saw film sets for both "The Menu" and "X-Men: First Class". By Andrew logic, does that mean those movies are in the same universe, because I exist in both?

Cody McRae

OMG I just realized, doing all that shit with that Pen that Gavin is buying, they're basically remaking Does It Do! So Now we have Getting To The Bottom Of It with Andrew Panton, and Does It Do!

Roger Flynn

42:12 did I hear that correctly did Andrew say X Array?

CrimsonGhost

Ok because it burned itself into memory the 1998 Vince Vaughn remake of psycho has butthole in the shower scene.

EvilxRane

Wha the fuck is Andrew talking about?

JVSakura

Honestly with every piece of Regulation content the enigma that is Andrew Panton continues to grow. I can see why Geoff and Gavin were always trying to find ways to get him into content over the years. Please never change Andrew! Lol 10/10 episode. Thanks Regulation for another great week of content its worth every penny to be a Falcon

Dinkleberg65

As a regulation book binder if y'all actually want to make the pop up book I'm down

Shelby

the anxiety i get from listening to andrew cold calling random numbers is astronomical

Cameron Johnson

I think Andrew might be searching for the concept of diegesis. At the very least, the confusion surrounding the conversation seems to be in regard to diegesis.

HartMurmur

When Andrew closes his eyes we all cease to exist until he opens them again

Riley Pearsall

Gavin has never looked at the side of a soda can or bottle in his life. That Faygo Geoff had is less than the average bottle of soda

Eternal Ass Gobblin

First review gaming is just Geoff going full circle back to drunk gamers.
