Oh, and yeah, I kinda ship Ouken and Fren after seeing that hug. LMAO I'm guessing Fren left the underworld in search for the demon. I don't think he was in Season 1, but maybe we'll see him again in the future?

2023-05-08 03:12:41 +0000 UTCI remember Miranjo telling someone (possibly Kage?) that her magic was especially effective on Ouken because he had no sanity left. He was basically just an empty husk acting on impulses, which made him easy to control from her mirror. I bring that up because, in this episode, King Satun mentioned something interesting. At the 7:22 mark, he says, "I should have known that I didn't stand a chance while you still remained." I'm guessing this means he knew what Ouken's eventual fate would be. Ouken was always going to lose has sanity / identity / self, and when that happened, Satun would have an opportunity to steal his son's empty body. Very sad.

RED FLAG, run away! ...with a bit of Endeavor mixed in. - Forces a woman to live with him for the sole purpose of bearing children. - Ignores the other children when he finally gets the desired offspring. - Oldest child wants to kill him.
