There will be 10 episodes in total. The stories appear to take place during (or before) the events of Season 1, rather than after. I guess that makes Treasure Chest of Courage a midquel? While I haven't read the manga, I did hear that some of these episodes are / will be adaptations of side stories included in the manga. I'm not sure if that makes them canon, but at least the author is involved. Episode 3 is hands down my favorite so far. Getting to see the relationship between Boji and Daida before the latter was "influenced" by Mirror Miranjo was really wholesome. I especially loved the acorn fight. I'm a bit confused by the general lack of sign language though, as Daida and Hilling were unaware of Boji's ability to read lips at this time. Well, it looked like he was reading lips, but I can't remember how young he was when Mitsumata taught him how. I did notice Daida signing his brother at least once, so at least the concept wasn't entirely forgotten. Speaking of Daida, seeing how terrified he was when Boji suggested they hide inside the dark, cave-like area beneath that tree was kinda heart breaking when you think about what's to come. After all, when Bosse eventually takes his body, Daida is stuck in the darkness for a looooong time.
