2025-04-02 04:47:41 +0000 UTCOne of my biggest pet peeves is the Gmail "remember this device" option to tick off when signing in on any other device that's not your main one - and the option never f**king works. It always makes you authenticate on your main device, and then asks if you want it to remember the new device you just signed in on. But it never, EVER works. Why does it bother asking to remember the new device when you'll just have to authenticate again next time anyways? IT MAKES NO SENSE AND I HATE IT! And that's what's wrong with the world.

2025-04-02 03:48:34 +0000 UTCI want you to know, I upgraded my membership so I could leave this comment. First, I fully agree with people who drive slow in the left lane. I would personally support legislation to have the left lane paved with a texture that makes it noisier in your car when you drive there so that people will be encouraged to get out of that lane to make the noise stop. I also agree with people who move slowly in the grocery store and block the aisle. I would actually extend that to anybody who does not move with a purpose when they are walking. The number of times I have been stuck behind somebody in the hallway or a small group of people who have managed to block the whole hallway Who don’t want to move like they actually need to be somewhere. It is frustrating. Related to the people driving on the highway thing, one of my peeves is people who have exceedingly bright headlights and or drive with their highbeams on all the time. Thank you for blinding all of the other drivers. You will have a great view of my grill while I plow into you because I can’t see where I’m going anymore. Second peeve is any bullshit marketing used to cover up the fact that a company changed something to cut manufacturing cost. I am referring to things like when Trix changed from fruit shapes to all round puffs. You’re not fooling anyone by saying the puffs are more fun, you’re just cutting manufacturing cost to increase your own profit. Worse than that might be when they claim to be doing it for environmental reasons like the bottled water that has a smaller cap now to reduce the plastic neglecting to mention the fact that we’ve saved half a cent on this bottle which over the course of 2 trillion bottles a year has saved us that much more money that is now going into some CEOs pocket. Or, the toilet paper manufacturer that removed the cardboard tube in the middle. I don’t know who you’re think you’re fooling that this biodegradable piece of cardboard somehow saves the environment, but you are just reducing your manufacturing cost for greater profit. Three, automatic sinks in any bathroom. I have never met an automatic sink that just worked the way it is supposed to. I always seem to do shadow karate for five minutes before the water actually turns on. Lastly, and I’m sorry to have a second bathroom peeve, but public bathrooms that do not have paper towel dispensers, and instead use hot air blowers. This is probably related to the “environmental marketing“ comment above where they claim that it is more sanitary to use a hand blower than paper towels. It has been scientifically proven to be less sanitary and it takes longer. Anytime I have to use a hand dryer, I end up wiping my hands on my shirt anyway. Don’t you lie to me that it is somehow more sanitary. That is just a selling point for places that use them so that they don’t have to pay for the maintenance of a towel dispenser, like refilling the dispenser itself, and throwing away the trash it generates. Again you’re not fooling anyone.

Whether its a money bet or eating a pencil bet. If you don't follow through it's annoying and makes me not want to do anymore bets with you. Why'd you even make the bet if you weren't going to follow through if you lose?
