I think it could get to be too much if it went past that long, but there is momentum there and the videos have purpose and good energy. I'm just worried if it was much longer than a year it could lose steam. However I do totally like the idea of doing GTA on Mondays for this year.

There have been episodes and even the occasional mini series that I skipped because I wasn't into it, but it's been a much smaller ratio to the amount that I did watch. Also it does just feel weird ti be a direct consumer but to have a product(content) withheld, so I'd much rather have it out as much as possible.

I don't want any of you to feel like you have to play anything you don't want to and aren't completely enthusiastic about because that's when AH got really boring, if your not making the content you want to, you're not making content we want.

The only thing i worry about with you guys as creators is burn out. I love your content as long as you guys enjoy doing it, and i don't want anything you put out to feel like work or not fun like it would sometimes happen in AH (not faulting anyone in particular). With that being said, i do agree with some people that it would be nice to hit a balance between putting out things frequently enough where you're not sitting on a year old video, but also keeping enough things in the bag so you don't feel hurried or pressured to record a lot of things consistently. As far as weekly series, GTA was always a great one, and i also don't mind the idea of trying to finish a game with a beginning and an end, a la "Immortality" which was very fun series to watch from start to finish. I think like you guys said, if it's something weekly that people like to look forward to and you enjoy doing, that's great, and if you ever get bored or anything becomes too formulaic you guys can totally pivot since you have the freedom to do so! Those are my 2 cents 😀

I personally don't care whether it's a set series, but I won't say no to one either. It reminds me of old RT days, I used to watch everything that got put out when it was one or two videos a day. Any more than that, and I just didn't have time.

The amount of the content wasn’t the issue, it was the formula and the sameness of the content. You knew what video was coming it was never a surprise as to what was being played.

However, my opinion is GTA is meh these days. I will undoubtedly listen to the episode as background noise but thats probably all. I think small series’ would be better for viewers standpoint. And by viewers I selfishly mean myself. I still say go for it and you got my view count. But theres much much better games out there these days for group lets play. GTA has the potential to go stale fast. Just my thoughts 🤷🏻♂️

Kind of how we look forward towards every Wednesday for the podcast, same thing applies. And the great thing about GTA is that there is almost an endless list of ideas to do which I think helps with burn out.

Could alternate GTA with something else that is a “Series” and you have a back log. That way it doubles the time to unload, allowing for more breathing room/downtime for the talent, and the non-GTA vid could be replaced with the next long series (LASO, eg).

My one observation though is that as you guys are taking more things on. The podcast is starting to feel less and less like a deep lore about nothing. Now it’s feeling more like a weekly check-in/company recap over this transitional period. Not to say that it’s a bad thing, I just wanted to raise the point and I understand that I could be way off base too. I do respect that running this company now is your livelyhood and you do need a place to talk about all this stuff. I just worry that the more you take on, the less energy will be put into the podcast overall and the podcast and supplementals are the things I love the most. That being said that you guys succeeding and being happy with what you’re doing should always be the priority. I really hope this doesn’t look like I’m being too critical. 💜

That being said some people I'm sure would love to see GTA every Monday. So it will be seen. My thoughts are more of. If you all enjoy playing the game and making content in it. You should put out the videos. Being that far ahead. What I'd be more afraid of is you all not playing GTA because you have too much already. If you're enjoying something, and wanting to play alot. Slide it into Mondays as extra content so you can keep making more of what you enjoy. If there's nothing you all are wanting to do leave that day open. Do what you enjoy. Extra content when you enjoy something is better than forced content when you hate it. I'm ok if there's weeks where the only thing you do is the podcast. Real enjoyment is so much better to watch than keeping a schedule.

AH alone burnt me out back in the day and I largely blame my inability to keep up with every video for evemtually feeling fine with just not watching any. I'm not saying it's an all or nothing situation for everyone but it turns out it is for me.

I have the luxury of being allowed to have my phone while at work so I always put your stuff on. Touching on Eric's concerns of burn out. I feel that although you guys love playing games, I remember during F**kface Geoff mentioned he didn't think he would want to do that again for a living. I know situations change but from an outside perspective I feel the reason you enjoy playing games so much is you enjoy the chemistry you all share. Even if you all get burnt out playing games I'm sure us comment leavers and regulation listener's would enjoy anything you put out on Mondays even if it's something in similar fashion as AHWU. Weekly recurring programming is always nice, and id rather yall put out the content you have then sit there and do nothing with it. Ill probably only get to 50% of the gameplays you put up (never miss a podcast or supplemental) but thats ok like Geoff said everyone doesnt need to watch everything.

VODs are best for me as I never am able to watch a stream live. I would be happy with a piece of content every day. I am probably an outlier though, as I usually listen to the podcast at least two or three times every week, but from different sources.

It is more the fact that they tend to reference heists or videos in podcast's that we may not see as an audience for months. I wouldn't expect Monday GTA to last forever, but I really like the idea of being able to catch up on all these heists. I think similarily with Gears of War, it would be nice to get caught up with the videos they have been referencing since last year.

2025-01-15 17:58:45 +0000 UTCRegarding the GTA thing or any regular series in general, I'd like to add that although I know there is a vocal group who says they really love the heist type videos, the ongoing series stuff, I don't think they are a great choice for content and personally I just tune them out. They aren't fun to watch. They are structured and repetitive, "Go here, shoot these guys, take the thing here, don't die or you start over." Self-contained videos where you are executing a stupid idea someone had and you make your own fun or other one-offs like races or parkour courses are the way to go IMO. If it's so fun you do it again, then you do it again naturally, not because you haven't finished it and you feel obligated to.

You guys seem to be vigilant of any of the problems that could come from it, and I think I prefer more getting released than you guys ending up sitting on a video that was recorded like a year ago to the point you may consider not even putting it out. And if it doesn't work out or you lose the enthusiasm for it you can just stop doing it.

Sasha was kidnapped and exited herself with a pill so that when Negan opened the coffin, she had a good chance of killing him. You could fill the month with past ideas (trivia month/ baseball manager games) Also also just a thought of introducing a GTA5 blindside, start the next episode but then interject with a blindside to a different game. Idk just a way to get one over on us the audience. Love the content, always just have fun guys.

I think what the guys should prioritize is not serialize a single game series but rather focus on just getting a particular series out. Especially if it's all recorded already. I do wish the series would come out when they were still relevant within their own umbrella. The snake eyes vid came out and the allure was lost as opposed to if it had come out a week after they talked about it while it was still topical

I'm in agreement tho that if you ever get tired of doing it, then stop. So, with First no longer being a thing and having to pay triple to get the content from 100% Eat and Regulation, I'm happy that the amount of content makes it feel worth it. There doesn't need to be more, but I won't say no to it either. I think there is a good sized audience wanting to see some of the older stuff again and would probably love to have guests from back in the day on some of these vids. Seeing interactions between Andrew and Jeremy or Michael would be amazing.

I think you guys should keep it random still but at least put something in for the monday slot.

Absolutely for GTA mondays, and while I’m sure 5 will be the brunt of the episodes, some of my favorite regulation gameplay were walking through 4, so I hope we get a bit of variety from the various games. Hell, maybe the moment GTA 6 gets announced and released, you guys start a play through with longer videos to get through the story, then go into whatever you can do online together.

I watch YouTube/Patreon every day and I feel kinda sad when I don’t have stuff to watch. But yes I agree I don’t want you guys to get burnt out and slip back to the RT stress of having to make content.

It’s very obvious that you are enjoying playing and I get equally as excited when I hear stories about the video that was just recorded earlier. I’m all for a Monday slot, until you guys don’t enjoy the recording anymore.

2025-01-15 11:41:49 +0000 UTCMy two cents on the GTA thing is that with your transparency as opposed to a normal companies, you don’t have to worry about audience expectations, nearly as much when you can very plainly say we are going to be offloading some of the extra content don’t expect this level of output every week type of thing.Your audience loves you partially for that transparency and honesty and you’ve built up a level of trust with a community where I don’t think that will be an issue.

What a completely useless piece of information you've all just been privy to, you're welcome.

That clip is just as great as when I first heard it happen. I’m fine with what we have, and I would just as much love getting more content in a week. As someone who is just a consumer, I had very similar thoughts to Andrew if in a different direction. I think that Monday could just be a flex slot for series that you guys are in love with at the time or just for series that you have a great many in reserve, similar to what it seems gears is also like. Maybe Gavin should be the one filling up the ballon with his farts instead of Geoff if he is starting the c pap again. Geoff, at this point I just get concerned for you when you bring up the jaw issues. Wish you the best. That abbot bit sounds great but could end up being bad in a longer format, I honestly can’t tell. Looking forward to the rest of 2025.

I also wouldn't be disappointed if they scaled back later if they have nothing to release. Instead of calling it GTA Monday, my idea was "Maybe Monday." They keep the slot for if and when they have content to release in whatever they are enjoying playing/have backlogged. Meaning it isn't necessarily a guaranteed release, but a little treat for the Regulation fans

I absolutely loved knowing regardless of how shitty my week was, i had a fresh new hilarious GTA to cheer me up every week. I would never ever say no to weekly GTA videos as long as you all enjoy playing it still and I'm glad to hear you guys are!

2025-01-15 09:49:46 +0000 UTCTo the point of releasing GTA on Monday, I’d say that neither Regulation nor 100% Eat, or really any ex RT property that I or others may follow still, put out content on Mondays. So there’s certainly a gap the that it could be valid to fill, since there’s nothing there currently, and Mondays suck by default, and it’s even worse with no content to fill time.

I don't think it is a lot as someone that uses your content as a main form of entertainment it would be great to have something on Monday to watch. I also believe the community don't care how much you release in a week. I believe we only want content you guys want to make wether that be just the podcast once a week or a vid everyday as long as you guys are enjoying making it it'll be great and we'll be here to watch/listen to it so you should never feel.like you have to make vid to satisfy us. You should all focus on having fun and not burning out and then the community will back you all the way.
