Had to take a break from listening so I'm just now catching up. I will say that I got hit between the shoulder blades as a kid by former White Sox pitcher Brian Omogrosso (who threw around 94 mph at the time) during an at bat and I will 100% take getting hit by a pitch vs. a linebacker.

I’ve been blindsided by a high school linebacker in a sandlot game, and I’ve caught bullpen sessions for a few minor league pitchers… a baseball deforms a surprising amount, which would absorb some of the kinetic energy in a way that a linebacker preparing for impact is trying to avoid.

Like, I wouldn't want to get hit with a linebacker-sized baseball but a baseball-sized linebacker wouldn't be so bad. Also Andrew, c'mon man. A lineman is a different thing from a linebacker.
