I know exactly what Eric is talking about in terms of the BP monitors. My blood pressure is horrible every time they read it because I have anxiety. One time it was so bad, they made me do a 24 hour BP monitor because they were mad concerned. They gave me this whole device and I had to sleep with it and everything. The results came back normal lmao

I got curious about my blood pressure and as the thing was inflating I nearly had a panic attack because I thought it wouldn't deflate and it would cut off my blood supply. We are close friends with a cemetery director and he always says how sad it is because NO ONE VISITS! These people lived lives, had hopes, dreams, hobbies, etc and their names are literally barely spoken. There is a saying "You die twice, once when you leave this world and once when the last person who knows your name leaves this world." From a content perspective, just don't read their names or just do initials.

I remember the teachers yelling at us for walking in front of the tombstones. They were exactly like Geoff described... Find the oldest tombstone, Find relatives, find the youngest and oldest deaths. I grew up looking at an infant’s headstone while playing on the monkey bars. then there was also active oil field equipment a few feet to the left in that one corner. man growing up in small town east texas was great. but yeah I get Geoff’s interest, and if done respectfully I think it’s actually kind of nice. think about how decades after we’re dead a total stranger comes along and reads our headstone, prolonging our relevance in this world just a little bit longer.

For some reason, any time I get my blood pressure checked, my blood pressure skyrockets. Takes me anywhere from 10-30 minutes to get it down again. It's not that I'm anxious either, my heart rate will be fine. Apparently, some people get it & they don't really know why.
