i would also faint if i saw a giant underwater monster after accidentally falling into a lake
this is also looooosely based on merfolk of Chinese mythology. There's a type of merfolk in Chinese mythology called 蛟人 ("jiao ren") and depending on where you look, jiaoren are merfolk who can also turn into sea dragons. Alternatively, sea dragons are the final form of jiaoren. Or something like that, as far as I know.
This dragon doesn't look that much like an underwater creature as much as it does an air dragon... ah well. Let's just imagine he slithers thru the water like an eel hahaha. Maybe he can travel through air as well! Who knows
