A little bit of insecurity

Ok, a little personal post, where I'd like to request your opinions. This has been bothering me on and off for a while, and I would like to know your thoughts, if you have any.

So I'm not infallible to other people's opinions about my art. Most times I value my own opinion most, but there are times I care about other people's more. I'm not of the "screw what other people think!" belief because sometimes, other people can be right and I don't want to wall myself off from alternative perspectives.

To the point: my old The Reaper and The Waiting comic was drawn in one particular style. That "lineless painterly style". Even now, more than half a year later, the comic still gets comments and tweets and gets talked about on instagram and the most common praise it gets is "I LOVE this art style, it makes it so unique, this is what I love about this comic".

I've always wondered if I've done the right thing about changing to an easier, more mainstream "lined" way of drawing comics, the way I'm doing Langwen right now. I don't really know. So these comments affect me a lot: should I be sticking to the old style after all? It does have a certain appeal. I'm feeling very insecure about my indecision, and I have a half a mind to go back and redo all the chapters for Langwen so far. (This massive cup of caffeine I drank today is NOT helping me.)

So I would like to ask: what do you guys think? Don't worry about my feelings, please tell me honestly which you would prefer (nothing anybody could say could be worse than what I think about my own art). Maybe my new style IS worse? Maybe my new style is better, people haven't seen it yet so it's unfair of me to be comparing this at all? But you guys have seen both, so I'd really like to know what you think!
