Chinese themed studies from the past week, at full res (I usually shrink them down 80 percent before posting on twitter)
Anyway, I'm eternally on the quest for a style I like. I'm circling back to the traditional calligraphic/watercolour style I had for a while before because I love the poetic and dreamy flow of it... I'm really exploring this to see how far I can take it, and how adaptable it can get to fill my artistic expression. There's a lot of fiddling and brush play involved to maintain that certain level of "randomness" that is specific to traditional art. Ahh, it's hard. I've been drawing for decades, and yet I still am barely close to my goal of finding a unique style.
