And this is the end of the journey for The Reaper and The Waiting. Oh my gosh.
It's been nearly two years (I started this in June 2019). Wow. It was originally supposed to be a 12 chapter experiment, but as with everything, the story didn't quite go as planned. (Tip for writing a long story - start with the simplest and shortest form of it. It will grow longer by itself, if you want it to - that is a far better way to write a long story than to plan it to be long from the start.) I knew I was going to be terrible about finishing it, so I started this patreon, knowing that with people paying me to actually do this story, I wouldn't be able to procrastinate.
So you are all to thank for the existence of this story!!!!! Especially some of you who joined early on, or in the middle, and stuck with me throughout until now - wow, thank you so, so, so much. I am so extremely grateful for your support. I'm not kidding - you will never understand how thankful and happy I am, I really, really appreciate it.
Anyway, I am just a liiiiiittle bit teary about Weili and Ruo Yang. It's a happy ending and they live happily ever after together, but I don't know, as I get older, happy endings like that make me cry too. Is it normal for an author to cry over her own characters??
In the next week I will upload the full pdf of the whole comic for violet patrons to download, as mentioned before. It will only be around until the end of April, so please be on the lookout for it!
