The Reaper and the Waiting - test page process

Currently experimenting with what sort of style and process I want to go for for this comic I am planning. Since it's a fairly short comic, I can choose a slightly more complex style. For me, the lineless painterly style is my favourite look but it is also the more time consuming one. But I think it captures the mood of the story best.
I've never had an eye for fonts and type. What do you think of what I've chosen? Are the words legible, etc?
For such a short comic, it's important for me to storyboard everything out before I start any kind of painting. I might post thumbnails and stuff later!
