Update on the adoptable project: LORE
Added 2023-06-13 11:12:50 +0000 UTCIn an effort to establish a basis for adoptable project, which is being worked on as you read this, I sat down to write some lore in the style and fashion of one Howard Phillip Lovecraft. Let me know what you guys think!
"Demons to some, angels to others; they are explorers on the furthest reaches of experience."
- quote unknown
"Everflesh: the tangible manifestation of sensation in our physical reality. This is what comprises the bodies of those who transcend the mortal coil by virtue of corporeal stimulation and have made their flesh ethereal and everlasting. Many are their names and even greater the number of their shapes, yet they all share one commonality: the pursuit of pleasure!"
- Excerpt from "Cult and Flesh: The History of Hedonism and Pleasure" by Gertrude M. Winslow
"The cosmos was dismal with silence and darkness. Within this massive darkness, where The Unknown dwells, new life was birthed unto the stars in the shape sensation. The sensations then scattered across cosmic distances to reach, to feel, to experience the vastness of mystery. As eons passed and the sensations learned, the Everflesh began to shape itself into the image it deemed worthy and useful to indulge in the pleasures it found. Awesome and hideous the Shapes of the Everflesh became, too much for the eyes of cosmic life. Thus, they were casted from many worlds, cursed to roam once more in the deep darkness between stars. Yet, their voices were never silenced. Their whispers are still heard riding the cosmic winds of time-space on chariots made from the nightmares of some and the forbidden dreams of others, waiting patiently for the invitation of those who wish upon the flesh."
- Excerpt from "Flesh of the Gods" by Vincent van Däniken.
"I will concede, [REDACTED], I have no explanation for this other than what I see. And even then, I still doubt the things I put to paper myself. We are talking about complete and aggressive celular assimilation. The immune responses of the poor rats from 2-A didn't even stood a chance. What I find most incredible is that after the initial exposure and subsequent symptomology, the rats went back to their usual business as if nothing ever happened. That was until they began... mating.
I much rather tell you in person. I don't think I can sit down and properly describe the things I've seen these past few days."
- Excerpt from correspondace between [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] of The University of [REDACTED]
Needless to say, don't freak out. This is all fake, written by me in an effort to sound like it's actually a thing XD Think it's good? Sounds like a solid base for OCs? Let me know in the comments!

That being said, just based on the excerpts here, I can see several valuable uses for those kinds of adopts within my own portfolio alone, so I'm sure there are others who'd be super on board with it.
