2024-11-19 22:37:53 +0000 UTCThe reason your character is so fast is that it was built on the Quake engine - a much more "arcade-y" shooter, and I'm pretty sure they basically just inherited the movement speed from that and didn't really adjust it. This was also definitely not built with controllers in mind so you might find it behaves a bit oddly - even though Valve has done a great job at updating the game for a slightly more modern audience!
