Lets check out Subnautica!

Here we gooo

I think something is wrong with my ears lol, my voice sounded too loud in the editing software while editing and now it sounds too quiet on YouTube lol, we will see what I can do, let me know if you want a reupload

Let me know of any non-spoilery tips and if you'd like to see more!

Lets check out Subnautica!

Loove this game! I finished it myself a couple weeks ago. Just FYI there's an option to pause while in the PDA. Lets you read everything without worry

Reiterating what everyone else is saying. Please, make yourself some damn equipment. Holding your breath surely can't be that much fun 😂 Also, lil tip about those shark things that keep attacking you that was hinted in the PDA. They reeally love titanium. If you want them to leave you alone, just don't carry titanium ^^

So excited to see this! Subnautica has a special place in the hearts of myself and my partner, and it's so easy to watch it for hours on end. Tips are hard without spoiling, the game is kind of ALL about discovery, but the game gives you the option to play without hunger and thirst, and I found that a way petter experience personally. I love the exploration and terror and discovery in this game, and not having to worry about two slow poisons (hunger and thirst) slowly trying to kill me too

First of all I enjoyed the first impression video! This has been a game that’s been on my list for quite a while but haven’t taken the plunge yet myself. I’ve played through 4 games so far while watching along with your playthroughs (Bloodborne, Hollow Knight, Last of Us 1&2) and love hearing your insight on each one, really makes me appreciate the work that goes into these games more deeply. I find myself just spending more time in the world looking at all the little details the artists have added. Also I didn’t have any issues with your voice volume this video, keep doing what you do and looking forward to the next!

You've made a great start, I'm pretty sure I'd drowned half a dozen times by this point! 😂 I actually went from Subnautica *to* Outer Wilds following a recommendation from a YouTuber that they were similar. In a lot of ways the crafting makes Subnautica really different, but if you keep exploring you'll start to see why people mention it in the same breath as Outer Wilds. 😉

So excited! First episode was excellent. I understand your doubts about this making an interesting let's play since it's a very different style from the games you tend to play, and there's a lot more downtime in general. However, I think we're all here for it. One thing I'd suggest you keep in mind is that you get to decide what aspects of the game you care about, and how much you care about them. It's not like in outer wilds, where there's a certain amount of content you're kind of "expected" to experience. There something for everyone, but that doesn't mean *everything* is for everyone. For example, don't feel like you have to scan every species to read its entry in the PDA, unless you find that's something you enjoy; don't feel like you have to get super in-depth with the base-building, unless you find that's something you enjoy. You get the idea.

Me: Oh good, she got all of the materials for the O2 Tank and Fins straight away, that was quite a lucky start Amber: Oxygen, already got that, no thanks. Fins, move faster, interesting *doesn't fabricate* Me: Oh no Amber: Why are you so fast fishy! *Warning Oxygen* Lmao, for your own sanity makes those items ASAP! Been looking forward to this series ever since you said you were interested, and I very much enjoyed this first part. Looking forward to the next part, and I really hope you decide to continue! As far as non-spoilery tips, besides making those two items - scan everything, but don't stress about reading every single entry unless something is particularly interesting to you. Other than that, just keep exploring, and getting more/new materials. General rule of thumb - if you can't find anything new, dive deeper, and give it some time. Lastly, try not to get overwhelmed. I've played through the game twice, and there are still some items that I have never bothered to use. You should be good for a few episodes without any specific hints, and I really hope people don't spoil too much! Edit: One more thing I forgot. If you have a bunch of junk clogging your inventory that you don't seem to have a use for, you can just drop them onto the ocean floor! (Especially if you can easily get them again, looking at you creepvine)

All aboard the Subnautica train! Or spaceship...boat? So pumped you're playing this. You're doing great, just keep doing what your doing. I can't speak for everyone, but for me, even the mundane-seeming stuff is fun to watch. ESPECIALLY early on when everything is a new discovery. It's definitely a lot of stuff up front, but you're gonna be a natural. I hope you have fun!

Just finished watching. Would absolutely love to see more. As for a non-spoilery tip, the game does a really solid job of giving you a lot of creative freedom to play however you see fit, while at the same time offering you a helping hand should you find yourself too stuck. The main thing is to just enjoy the fantastic atmosphere & soundtrack, explore the game and have fun.

This was so much fun to watch! I feel like I could watch this unedited for an extremely long time. Even watching the crafting, eating, drinking and menu browsing can seem mundane but its very satisfying and cozy to watch and its great to go along with your adventure. Hope you continue this if you are having fun with it, and I wouldnt worry about any of it seeming boring! Its a very chill game (except when its not!). Only tip I can think of is to build the oxygen tank asap, I think you don't start with one, the O2 meter is just you "holding your breath" :)

ChronoKnot

nice start. keep going! I don't think you need any tips - it's a lot at the start but you'll soon be exploring the ocean like a pro.

Mark Robson

Haha, you were kind of suffocating that first Garry fish for a long time, you monster.

The Mighty Pipe

yaay yaaay yaaaaay yaaaaaay, that's mostly what i have to say :D my second favorite game after HK! yaaaaaay!

miša

You were like the Cornifer of the sea, immediately wandering off after "hatching" from the escape pod 😄 The game can be a little overwhelming at first, but you're doing great so far. I would love to see you play more, if you feel like it of course.

Trolez

awesome! love seeing people play this game cos i'm too scared of the ocean to do it myself lmao excited to watch it!

ChilledGricken

So glad you're still making videos! One of my favorite content creators!

Julio Olmos

hahaha then the awkward potential follow up comment where you could say "on second thoughts amber never touch this game again! What were you doing with all those poor fish"

Sym

I haven't even watched it yet, but I know I want to see you play more of it.

The Mighty Pipe

So excited to watch this! I love Subnautica :)
