Voyage for Poon - Cargo Bay
Added 2020-08-16 21:16:28 +0000 UTCDuring the stream this weak, I jumped into really hammering out the environment and background assets for Voyage for Poon.
The original comic that Shia drew had minimal background. That works fine in a comic, but I wouldn't be able to get away with that for the animation. A couple of the panels did have more detailed backgrounds, so I was able to see that it took place in one of Voyager's cargo bays.
After gathering some good reference shots of the cargo bay from the show, I jumped into Blender. I had to take some artistic liberties with the size of the bay (the one from the show is just too small / cramped, compared with the scale of the room from the comic) but I'm pretty happy with the result!
