Boring Thursday Mix

You'll notice that I didn't have Patreon send you a notification that I had posted this. I enjoy sharing my personal music experience and I also don't want for it to be this thing where you're like oh its a hypnosis experience. But then its some boring Thursday mix. So I realized this disconnects the two.

Super intense and sonically dynamic music helps my brain relax. The music is often way too much for others. It settles me.

This is a mix that I have been slowly building and listening to as Youtube presents stuff for me to look at over the last month or so.

The first track by Seven Lions somehow flew completely under my highly advanced radar over the last two years. Excellent music video I might add. If I were better at getting creative people together to create together it might look something like that.

The second track by Justin OH is one that I shared with this woman who I developed a friendship with years ago. She is Italian and we had to use google translator for all of our communication. I think the translated word she gave me to express her feelings for it was "beautiful". I'm not sure if its beautiful necessarily, but it is still one of my favorite songs.

The third track by Rykosopp. I'll let you write the commentary for that.

The fourth track is by this really interesting guy who DJs. He still does live DJ sets that you can watch on youtube. This song always felt right to me.

The fifth track is by a really impressive musician who made the music for the video game Doom Eternal. The other tracks are from me. But I was in the car with my bro and he was like put on the doom song. So I looked and we found it. Masterful aggressive violent audio. If you have the hand eye coordination and want to lose your mind in a deathfest of absolute hellish destruction of demons then play Doom Eternal.

The sixth track by Vorso is really incredible if you listen to it on good headphones or a good system. I tend to hear music like someone speaking. If you pay attention you will have the experience of the musician speaking. The music is the language.

Ok. Here we go.

The seventh track is unrealistically magnificent. I'm not sure exactly what was happening with this person's brain when it compiled this. They figured out how to put all of these pieces together in a way that is like "no way dude". But somehow it happened anyway.

The eight track is by the same guy. Interesting person.

I think the reason this super intense ultra dynamic music calms me is because my mind is forever reaching out for more. Give me more. Give me more answers. What happens next. I feel good about that.

A more "balanced" person who is sitting with me as I show them the music might be like what the fuck is the matter with you.

The ninth track is by this dude RUBACK. I found this song from an instagram reel when I was doomscrolling myself into the lower levels of algorithm hell. It incorporates the music from Dune. If you haven't watched it then. Do me a favor and go ahead.

The tenth track just kind of feels good as a break from the intensity of the previous ones. Were it feels like things are going good and happening for a good reason that feels right. Like a sense of release.

The eleventh track is a new release. I am very particular with which dubstep I will allow into my personal space. It must at least have a certain degree of flow and rhythm that approximates what a hiphop producer would produce as a track for a rapper to flow over. This one presents itself as something I am accepting of.

Can you see what I'm doing here?

The twelfth track comes across as a very soft fuzzy form of trance. The one by RUBACK was the previous trance track. Back in the late 90's when we went to raves it was all trance. Then later in 2009 when I went to Burning Man the second time it was intriguing when I came across a dome where they were blasting trance. Thinking this is so old school. Apparently people are still making trance and enjoying it.

Track 13 is Hans Zimmer's iconic music from the film Inception where the main character goes into someone else's mind and implants an idea.

How exactly would you do that?

I wonder.

I liked the Ruback Dune track - I haven't seen the new Dune yet but I am a fan of the books and the old Dune. I will definitely have to watch it. The last two tracks were excellent! Very relaxing. The whole thing was anything but boring! You have very interesting taste in music!
