Under Pressure - Painting Clouds

If you've read the Under Pressure comic, you'll know that the opening panel is an establishing shot, showing a bit of an apartment building against a big sky.

So that immediately had me terrified. I'm not... so great at drawing or painting. All I need to do to convert most of the shots is ink and color them, which is more of a technical skill than a creative one. Those shots also mostly obscure their backgrounds. This opening shot, however... well it's just one big image, most of it exposed sky.

Worse case scenario, I'd have to pay someone to do the backgrounds for that shot. Before that, however, I did at least want to give it a go myself first.

So I loaded up some tutorials (if you want to learn yourself, I recommend Mclelun's anime cloud tutorial) and got to practicing. Thankfully, it's not that hard to pick up! While these are far from the best anime style clouds, I think they'll do!
