Under Pressure - Visual Style Choices
Added 2020-06-02 18:43:27 +0000 UTCNow there are a couple of shots from the Under Pressure comic that don't quite match the style or character designs from Evangelion. For this shot, I tried to correct a few of these issues, and went through several variations till I landed on the final one.
Also, lip flaps!
Additionally, instead of inking with a constant width pencil tool, I used a brush with variable width (based on pen pressure) to give it some minor variation, in order to mimic the pencil lines you'd get from actual anime.
The first colored version was done with the constant width pencil tool, and the all following ones with the variable width brush tool.
Odds are this shot will undergo some more changes and tweaks before the project is done, but what do you all think?
