Insight Into How Hypnosis Works.

The Hypnotic Loop. An older video by James Tripp that explores this.

My thoughts -

I've had a lot of inquiries into how hypnosis works. If you're going to experience hypnosis as deeply as you have already, and desire to experience it even more deeply in the future, I believe it will be of value for you to understand how this works.

Some of you already know that you don't need me to "bring you into a trance" for you to immediately respond to my words. This pokes a large hole in the whole entering into trance through induction that almost all hypnotists use. And the induction part still helps. It's just not crucial. And there is a reason for this.

Older explanations of how hypnosis works say that I take you into a hypnotic trance and then you experience what I say. Hypnotists used to believe that the trance state had something to do with causing the part of your mind that questions what's coming in to stop working. So you just start saying yes to everything I say. Approaching hypnosis from this angle does work. At the same time it isn't necessary and it doesn't always work. It is beneficial to understand WHY.

I believe James explains this process very well here. Enjoy.

Interesting.. I've been wondering if one can accidentally hypnotize another with out knowledge or intention to. Feels a little like the answer could be yes. 👀

Oh, I neglected to mention that if the hypnosis title is something I’m not sure about, I do listen first without engaging. There are a few I choose not to indulge in, there are some I’ve grown into, and most are fine from the start. 😊

Thank you for sharing, Kim! I a big believer in manifesting what you want and what you believe to your reality. But when it comes to hypnosis, sometimes there are suggestions or commands that challenge my beliefs.

When it comes to hypnosis, I let it have its way with me. I’ve learned so much about myself.

I thought I’d share. For me it’s been both. I’ve migrated more less from the “seeing to believe” to just belief/faith. My experiences cover a wide range of how they came about so much so that I can’t begin to draw an answer for you from them. Some experiences continue to make me wonder. I can see how I attracted my husband. He fits the desire I had for a partner at that time perfectly though I didn’t realize it until many years later. After a spiritual awakening I held to the belief of being provided for. A few times unexpected checks arrived in a timely manner or I’d have a thought about something I needed or would like to have only to have someone come to me with that very item. That all sounds amazing and it is, but it’s just as easy to hold beliefs that are not beneficial. I can see where I have erred. Just this past week I became aware of several beliefs that are hurting me. It’s always evolving and interesting for sure!

It makes me wonder, what comes first? The proof or the belief? Do I need to experience something to believe it can happen, or could I believe it and then manifest it? It's tricky

It's very interesting. My beliefs actually dictates how I'd experience the hypnosis, it rings some bells. Thank you for expending my mind some more.

Thank you for this.
