The new oak beam!
Added 2020-10-19 11:02:00 +0000 UTCWe have just picked up the new oak beam for the cottage, cut from a local forest about one year ago. Not the easiest or cheapest option but I always said I would replace anything like for like to keep it authentic. We also have new oak joists and the floor boards for upstairs too. Unfortunately as we are behind schedule with having to replace to main beam, and we aren’t ready to lay them just yet. Hopefully we can get the new beam in ASAP and get back on track.
