Cottage Restoration Update.
Added 2020-09-28 19:00:32 +0000 UTCLoads of exciting news as far as the renovations are concerned. The new oak floor boards and internal panelling has been ordered and will be ready in two weeks. I have found a company to do all the sand blasting of the Aga parts and beams in the cottage which will be done this weekend. Also I’m in the process of ordering all the replacement Aga parts from England which will be shipped over in the coming weeks. Tomorrow we will be rebuilding the missing fireplace in the corner ready for the Aga and the floor will be tiled with the antique terracotta tiles next week. It’s looking very likely that the Christmas deadline will be kept.
It’s taken a lot of planning and coordination to get all this to happen together but will be worth the wait.
It’s looking like we will be going way over the €17.000 euro budget for all the work so your help through Patreon will be keeping this project on schedule, along with funding for the AGA restoration from June’s Journey, and Ad revenue from YouTube.
I want this cottage to stand the test of time and all the extra expense for quality oak and meterials will be worth it in the long run.
