- Murders happened around 4:20 that morning
- One of the surviving roommates heard people saying some things upstairs and possibly some crying so she opened her door and came face to face with a man dressed in black walking towards her; she stood frozen in shock
- She locked herself in her room
- surveillance footage all around Moscow and Pullman shows his white car coming to and leaving the area of the house and driving back to WSU
- cops had his name on November 25 by finding him as the owner of a white Elantra registered to WSU and him matching the description of the killer
- he left a knife sheath in a bedroom that has his DNA on it. The cops went to his family’s home in Penn. and got trash from that home and they confirmed the DNA was that of the father of the DNA found at the scene on the knife sheath
- he had his phone turned off during the murder, but cell tracking shows that he had visited their home over 12 times scoping it out
