Random post about chapters...
Added 2025-06-13 18:10:56 +0000 UTCI just was going through the Day in the Life of Aelryinth, and noticed that some of the chapters were not indenting some paragraphs properly.
I know a lot of you grew up reading online and indenting to show a new paragraph isn't that important. But that's how I write stories: tab once to start the new paragraph. That is literally why you have a tab button on your keyboard! This is mostly because 'wall of text' is what you find in books, and so that tabbed space to indicate a new paragraph makes certain you know it is a new paragraph, and not just a new sentence to the previous one. Having extra spaces between paragraphs is a waste of space and makes books longer, not a problem if you post online.
Well, whatever formatting algorithm they are using here isn't allowing me to indent those places properly, even using the space bar to line them up (and what's with a twelve space indent, instead of just five?!).
So, I apologize for what might seem a jarring mismatch on paragraphs, as some are indented properly and some are not. Rest assured they didn't look that way in the original document, and it bugs me that it doesn't carry over here.
To a lesser degree, Royal Road has a similar problem. For them, there is a sensitivity to proper spacing between paragraphs, and if it isn't perfect, they lose the space between paragraphs and it becomes a wall of text. Just, ugh. Have to go in there and hunt the thing down...
