PSA Regarding Automated Promotions

It has come to my attention that Patreon's "Autopilot" feature was recently automatically enabled for all creators. Autopilot will automatically send promotional offers like discounted membership upgrades and offers when you try to cancel a membership.
I want to clarify that I did not enable this, was not aware of this, and am completely against it.
While I don't have problems with the occasional promotion, what Patreon has done is, in my opinion, sending out spam on my behalf, without asking me or notifying me about it. I would like to apologise to anyone who has received one of these promotions.
I have disabled this feature, so from now on you should only receive messages when I actually want to send them. If you still get these automated promotions, please let me know. Also, please be understanding if you receive them from other creators, they might not be aware that it's happening.
