2021-04-19 21:31:16 +0000 UTCAlso, as an SF Bay Area resident, I HIGHLY recommend the Alcatraz tour. It’s so worth it and I think they do midnight or nighttime tours. It’s NOT one of those tours you’ll feel was boring or not worth the $ or time. 10/10 👍

2021-04-19 16:03:31 +0000 UTCI had a colleague who grew up on the employee section of San Quentin Prison because her dad worked there in some capacity that required it. There’s a tiny colony of civilian housing and school yard for employees & their fams.
