The bit where they got off track for a minute about BBQ was a bit weird for me. I had just taken a bite of some brisket I got from Terry Black's about 5 minutes before Ben mentions them. Really threw me for a loop.

Your point about Crowley's great work finally being realized now is poignant and beautifully put. Maybe in his final moments he realized he was never meant to see the results of his great work. The true curse of great magic, it out lives it's caster. Also for your German Wizard persecution episode, take a look at the Fraternitas Saturni. Absolutely fascinating with a wonderful set of texts written. Including ba text containing many of their old rituals.

Did the audio quality improve with this podcast? Seems to sound better...

Crowley just sounds like a very bored rich kid looking for "kicks."

Anyone else feel like the opportunity was missed to number this episode '77'7?

i got chills up my spine and goosebumps when they mentioned that AC may have been communicating with the fuckin greys!!!

When I heard the name "Horatio Bottomly", I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the joke, but...IT NEVER CAME!

Do you think maybe his last ritual was to take care of his followers which is why his image makes money for people

The “Empire of the Wheel” series (Walter Bosley, Richard Spence) speculates about Crowley’s involvement in British espionage--- as well in a series of ritual murders in southern California in the teens. It reads like “The DaVinci Code” if Dan Brown had written it as non-fiction, but if you’re into spooky Crowley lore, it’s worth a look.
