As he lay in front of the crystalline pool of water, its gentle motions lapping at his dipped toes, a terrible itch blossomed at the base of Raki's burnt orange feathers. He reached out with a careful hind paw, his claws subdued to avoid tearing his beautiful coat, left wing aloft to make room for the toes that swept away the pesky sensation. Each swipe of his delicate toes felt better than the last, easing his eyelids over his astute green eyes, yet one failed to close, for no matter the serenity of his surroundings, somebody might always lay in hiding.
What manner of creature, Raki couldn't tell, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of having an intimate part of him watched, now that his raised hind leg no longer concealed it.
Or maybe it's just his imagination! (Though I somehow doubt it!)
Raki(c) is my character
