“This is only for the first two days. Mere precaution, nothing more, and solely because the law demands it,” Audric, her town escort and perceived friend, calmly explained as he crouched by one of her hind legs to fasten the thin, iron wrought chains around one of her timid hind legs. It involuntarily twitched despite his soft, careful touch, the coldness of the iron contrasting with the warmth of his pads.
“I’ve done this enough times. You can tell, right?” As he posed that question to her, he brought the chain around a second time around her hind leg, so that one loop stood above her ankle and the other one below it, a few inches away from her metacarpal paw pad to avoid chaffing it. “There is nothing to worry about. Nobody’s going to barge into a barn marked for your kind, and I made sure to sweep the floor and bring in fresh hay for our newest visitor. Your kind is respected and admired here. Just…not at first. Though be wary of the gryphons. Lustful creatures, those.”
Lillian took in a deep, long breath to quell the nerves roiling in her cut. She had known of this all along. Visiting any biped town in these parts resulted in two nights spend in inadequate and quite irrelevant restraints, but not every citizen was like Audric, and not every intelligent quadruped was as accepting of their laws as her, so perhaps this was for the best.
The brown wolf’s amber eyes skipped to her tense, still tail sprawled along the floor, the mahogany tip twitching in sudden, anxious motions. “It would’ve been far simpler if our kinds could talk to one another without the need of one of them…them…magic things they have in the city,” he said as he checked the knot he formed by tying the links together in ways that Lillian never deemed it possible for such rigid metal. He tugged at it to test its endurance, nodded in satisfaction, and grabbed the rest of the chain to tie it around one of the four thick wooden posts surrounding them, each designed specifically for this function.
“Alas, they’re reserved for gryphons, dragons, wyverns. The important creatures.” His lips shuddered with the faintest trace of a snarl that quickly faded away when he picked another chain that he worked around her other hind leg in similar fashion.
“But I can’t complain. We’ve gotten along just fine, and nodding, blinking, and head shaking is all I need in my line of work. Not like it’s more demeaning than being tied belly up, with your uhm…assets exposed more than they should be.”
His gaze lingered on her pink vulva longer than it previously did, his enlarged pupils taking in the supple shapes of her femininity outlined by the dim flicker of an almost spent torch perched above them. The film of translucent arousal coating her lips might have helped her sex stand out, but it did little else. Audric still didn’t grow in his tanned leather leggings. He still turned away from her ripe offer without as much as a twitch of his nostrils.
Bastard. He either held his breath, or he didn’t favor females, for no male should have been capable of reining in their urges with the efficiency he displayed. To protest in the only way she could, Lillian turned her head away and closed her eyes, listening to the clink of metal on metal, focusing on the tightening loops around her left hind leg that pulled it up to further expose her belly when Audric tied the chain to its respective post.
“This one’s always been shorter than the rest. Deepest apologies,” he said with a bow of his head, as if that somehow improved the increasingly uncomfortable position she sat in.
And that was only the beginning. The moment she found out that her forepaws had to be tied together, Lillian’s ears swiveled so fast to the side and away from him that Audric’s whole expression changed in one of dismay.
“It’s the law,” he tried to explain while fondling the links of the chain he clutched, his fingers caressing that cold metal more affectionately than they ever did her. “The restraints are meant to make escape impossible, otherwise we wouldn’t bother with them.”
Eager to get done with it, Lillian nodded and offered her forepaws to him, which he grabbed in his tender, careful grip and rounded a few times just below the wrist, keeping them snug together without too much of an inconvenience. Once he finished that last part of his job, Lillian expelled a breath of relief, shifting this way and that to make herself as comfortable as she could for the long night.
“There’s one last thing.”
His perked finger, along with his eyes that skipped to her tail, deepened the creases forming along her muzzle. It took all of her willpower to keep her fangs from showing while Audric tied a neat loop around the base of her bushy tail, using the same post employed for the fastening of her left hind leg, dragging her tail slightly to the side as he did.
“I’m sorry,” he said, offering her naught but a shrug for comfort on his way out, his tail as limp as his cock.
The door of the barn creaked, whined, and gave one final thud when it swallowed the lithe form of the wolf she had always imagined inside her at the end of the day, curled in mutual embrace, his warm seed slowly pumping into her while his hands sifted through the rebellious strands of her mane. Lillian’s bindings clinked and rustled softly as she pulled her forepaws as close to her muzzle as possible to rest against them, lounging as much as her tethers allowed on the side. With nothing better to do, she waded deeper through the possibility of what could have been, had Audric’s affection for her dwarfed the rigid nature of his duty.
