TOPICS TO DISCUSS
AI (some topics below)
People have the notion that AI is new but it's been around for decades. What is the first use of AI that is closest to how we know it today?
if it learns from human, can it think like a human and create things we haven't yet created.
Can it become an artist? AI's Role in the Creative Process
Can AI eventually 'read human behavior and predict' who is most likely to succeed, fail, commit a crime?
AI and the blockchain
Humans train AI but can it be trained wrong? How do we prevent that
Jobs that could be displaced by AI.
Is there anything in pop culture, OTT, music platforms, is there any technology that doesn't use AI
Google has a music-generation AI trained on every audio file on YouTube. You can issue a prompt like ‘Write me a song that sounds like Taylor Swift, sad ending, up-tempo,’ and the resulting song sounds somewhat like her. Someone could include it in a video game or a bar scene in a movie for free.” Generative AI could do the same kind of repurposing with video content owned by the studios, he added. Generative AI will replace some of the work done by human writers, artists, photographers, and other creative professionals in the arts and entertainment industry. How can we avoid AI replacing humans or should we even avoid it?
Social media uses AI to push users "more of the same", which doesn't really give people a chance to have a balanced set of information. Is there a universe where we
AI careers of the future
Can AI eventually study the accuracy of history as taught to us?
Deep learning
What is deep learning?
How much of our lives do platforms like Paypal, Twitter, YT, Google really know about us? How is that used to push people towards a purchase or a cause?
Can deep learning recognize emotions from images or videos?
Based on years of data analysis, how unpredictable and unique is each human? Are we really as unpredictable as we think we are?
Can AI and deep learning prevent suicide and assist in other mental health issues.

2025-04-10 21:15:46 +0000 UTCI can answer the first part of this; Yes! There are programs currently used to trace human trafficking, esp children in US; also used by Interpol in Europe, and intelligence agencies in Asia. Tracking child abuse is harder cause it requires a 'report' to initiate any action. Tracing trolling and cyberbullying is already in use, but the lag in response has to do with rights and laws that shield many. The second question is very interesting - where a machine action could moderate human behavior; and the speculation on how far that could go. Accountability usually means there will be consequence. Humans behavior is monitored and moderated usually by family, social beliefs, and compliance with society laws. Who determines that consequence? Obviously, governance of AI use/abuse is imperative, and those laws need to be global to be effective. I think your second question raises this further evaluation. I'd love to hear her response on that - thank you!

2025-04-10 17:48:47 +0000 UTCCan AI be used to assist in law enforcement, tracking and identifying human trafficking, child abuse, trolling, cyberbullying, etc activities? Can it be eventually be trained to act as moderators for internet content, as well as keeping people accountable for their actions/words?
