New Jeans IG Account: Advertisers Are Complaining

As the group New Jeans, which is in a dispute with its agency Ador over its exclusive contract, has opened a new account and begun communicating, Ador has made its first statement.

On the 18th, Ador released an official statement, stating, "New Jeans has a dedicated platform and official SNS accounts such as Instagram and X (Twitter) to communicate with fans, and we hope that New Jeans members will continue to communicate with fans through these official channels as before."

He continued, "Aside from the official SNS accounts of New Jeans opened by Ador, all accounts were opened without prior consultation under the exclusive contract, and there are actually inquiries and complaints from third parties such as advertisers regarding the accounts and posting of content," and explained, "We have conveyed our concerns to the artists and their legal representatives because separate entertainment activities through the accounts may cause legal issues."

Earlier, New Jeans opened a new SNS account with the ID 'jeanzforfree' on the 14th and is meeting with fans. They dismissed the suspicion of plagiarism by saying, "This is the real us" and "What is this? It's awkward. We wanted to see you all. We'll meet here more often." They are actively communicating with fans by posting photos and videos of their activities.

This is drawing attention as it is a move following the announcement of the termination of the exclusive contract with Ador. While New Jeans announced the termination of the exclusive contract through a press conference on the 29th of last month, Ador has filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract with the Seoul Central District Court.

Meanwhile, New Jeans, who appeared as guests at the Japanese singer Yoasobi's concert in Korea on the 7th, omitted the introduction of their team name and even showed their own independent behavior by only showing the individual members' names, not New Jeans, in the Vogue Korea pictorial released today.
