[Exclusive] Case between former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and former ADOR employee referred to mediation in damage lawsuit

The damage lawsuit between Min Hee-jin, former CEO of ADOR, and a former ADOR employee has entered a new phase after the court decided to refer the case to mediation.

According to Star News, on November 28, the Seoul Western District Court’s 51st (civil) single-judge panel decided to refer to mediation the 100 million KRW (approximately USD 90,000) damages lawsuit filed by a former ADOR employee, identified as “A,” against former CEO Min Hee-jin on the grounds of defamation due to alleged false statements.

A mediation referral is a procedure aimed at resolving a lawsuit through mutual understanding between the parties. During a mediation hearing, both sides seek to reach a settlement agreement.

This lawsuit was initially filed by “A” in August. On September 23, “A” successfully obtained a decision approving the provisional attachment of Min Hee-jin’s real estate assets for the amount of 100 million KRW. Such provisional attachment is typically conducted to secure the ability to enforce a potential future payment.

Previously, “A” made waves by publicly alleging sexual harassment against ADOR’s deputy CEO and claiming that Min Hee-jin attempted to cover up the incident during “A”’s tenure at the company. In August, “A” reportedly filed criminal complaints with the Seoul Mapo Police Station against Min Hee-jin for defamation and violations of the Personal Information Protection Act. Additionally, “A” filed reports with the Seoul Western Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, accusing Min Hee-jin and the ADOR deputy CEO of unfair labor practices and misconduct in labor relations.
