DISPATCH PUBLISHES CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN MAMA ROACH AND OLD SHORTS PARENTS

Let's wait for Mama Roach's statement.

[Dispatch=Reporters Jiho Kim and Hyejin Park]

① Starting with the Conclusion

"ADOR neither has the will nor the ability to protect NewJeans."

To fly freely like a bird. (But this bird is not tethered to a branch by a contract.)

NewJeans intends to follow Min Hee-jin, someone they believe has both the will and the ability to protect them.

② What Is an Artist to Min Hee-jin?

“Working hard while enduring disgust, ㅋㅋㅋ. It feels like I’m doing something good for someone else. It’s a waste to feed those reckless kids.” (December 30, 2023)

This statement offers a glimpse into Min Hee-jin’s duality. It reveals that she fundamentally does not respect artists.

According to Min Hee-jin, NewJeans are simply “reckless kids,” and her role is to “endure the disgust.”

“ㅋㅋㅋ. What would they know? When I see them looking at themselves in the mirror and think they are dancing, it makes me dizzy.” (December 30, 2023)

“What artist? How many times have I told you that they are not? It’s annoying. Don’t call them that. What kind of artist is that?” (January 8, 2024)

③ To Min Hee-jin, Artists Are Tools

Min Hee-jin used NewJeans as a loudspeaker against HYBE. She leveraged them as a means to voice her own agenda.

For instance, during the surprise live broadcast by NewJeans on September 11:

“I don’t think the way HYBE is operating right now is the right way. Please bring the CEO back...” (Hyein)

“What we want is the original ADOR, where management and production are integrated, with CEO Min Hee-jin as the representative...” (Minji)

The timing and content of the broadcast were no coincidence; they aligned perfectly with Min Hee-jin’s own demands sent to HYBE that same morning.

④ Min Hee-jin’s Two-Track Comeback Strategy

Behind the scenes, Min Hee-jin requested the CEO position via email. Simultaneously, NewJeans publicly applied pressure on HYBE through their broadcasts.

‘Dispatch’ has obtained text messages sent by Min Hee-jin to the families of NewJeans members on the day of the live broadcast:

“We formally request the return of the CEO to normalize management.” (September 11, 2024)

At the time, Min Hee-jin was on the defensive. Public opinion about her had worsened due to revelations regarding her handling of sexual harassment allegations.

She managed to shift public sentiment in her favor using the live broadcast, leveraging it to turn the tide and position the “reckless kids” to serve her agenda.

⑤ NewJeans Emphasized That the Live Broadcast Was Their Own Decision

“I’m worried that people might say something absurd like, ‘Didn’t the CEO tell you to do this?’”

Min Hee-jin’s camp preemptively denied any involvement. In a (now deleted) KBS interview, she claimed, “Min Hee-jin stopped the live broadcast.”

But did she really?

Telegram messages obtained by ‘Dispatch’ paint a different picture. These messages, exchanged between Min Hee-jin and the families of NewJeans members on the afternoon of September 11, reveal otherwise.

Min Hee-jin was fully aware of the broadcast’s timing. She was even enthusiastic, remarking, “(Bunnies) are setting the stage.”

Was she merely a passive observer? Or was she actively orchestrating events from behind the scenes?

What is clear is that Min Hee-jin used the voices of the artists to communicate her own demands.

⑥ Protection: Defined as taking good care of and looking after someone to ensure that danger or trouble does not occur. (Korean Dictionary)

Parents do not send their daughters to battlefields. They do not use them as swords or shields. Fighting, by nature, is a process that involves getting hurt. There is no way to avoid danger.

On October 9, Hani sent a message to the ‘Bunnies’:

"I've decided!! I'm going to the National Assembly! The state audit! I'm going alone!"

Hani emphasized that this decision, like before, was entirely her own.

“You don’t have to worry!! I’m doing this for myself and the members. The managers and the company don’t know yet.” (Hani)

The manager didn’t know, the company didn’t know, but Min Hee-jin did.

⑦ Min Hee-jin Knew

On October 8, one day before the announcement of Hani’s attendance at the ‘National Assembly Inspection,’ Hani visited Min Hee-jin’s studio. She carried a yellow envelope related to her reference for attendance.

Min Hee-jin greeted Hani warmly. Attorney Sejong was also present, and the three of them talked for over four hours.

Min Hee-jin patted Hani on the back. Was it a gesture of encouragement or restraint? Regardless, Hani ultimately took her stage to the National Assembly.

"If we respect each other as human beings, there will be no problems with bullying and ostracism in the workplace," Hani stated, shedding tears.

Hani’s tears are valued because she is an idol, but do the tears of her manager, a staff member, hold no significance? This reveals the darker side of the K-pop industry.

(Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor closed the case, stating, “Hani is not considered a worker under the Labor Standards Act.” According to their classification, she is a self-employed individual who earned 5.2 billion won last year.)

⑧ Minji’s Comments at the Press Conference

At a press conference on the 29th, Minji stated:

"I haven’t spoken to CEO Min Hee-jin separately, but I believe she thinks the same way we do…"

When making significant statements, NewJeans consistently distanced themselves from Min Hee-jin. During the live broadcast, they said it was “by themselves”; during the inspection, it was “alone”; and at the press conference, it was “separately.”

The problem lies in the fact that the invisible hand is far too obvious. This is understandable because the live broadcast → inspection → press conference sequence appeared to be a calculated build-up.

Even the press conference was planned before HYBE’s certified mail reply was received. It was a deliberate move by NewJeans and their supporters to build their case, though the conclusion had already been decided.

Meanwhile, Min Hee-jin was occupied in other ways.

⑨ Min Seong-il: A Combination That Disgusts Min Hee-jin

“Min Seong-il” (Min Hee-jin + Ahn Seong-il) is a compound term that Min Hee-jin finds “extremely disgusting.”

The logic goes: “Fifty” (allegedly conspiring with Ahn Seong-il) betrayed the label, Attrakt. NewJeans (alongside Min Hee-jin) feels they are the ones betrayed. Min Hee-jin strongly dislikes comparisons to Ahn Seong-il.

She may have been aware of the tampering controversy. When rumors of her involvement with 'Dabolink' surfaced, Min Hee-jin declared: “Stop it, block it at the source. It’s groundless.”

“I want to make it clear that I have never contacted or exchanged opinions with anyone at Dabolink. I am making my position clear to prevent false rumors from spreading further, to protect innocent victims, and to stop HYBE from exploiting this as another source of trouble.” (Min Hee-jin’s statement)

However, this statement was a lie.

⑩ Min Hee-jin Met with Dabolink in Person

On September 30, Min Hee-jin met with Mr. A, the actual owner of Dabolink. The connection between the two was Mr. B, the uncle of a NewJeans member.

‘Dispatch’ captured a three-way meeting between Min Hee-jin, Chairman A, and Uncle B. This meeting confirmed rumors about Min Hee-jin’s activities.

Min Hee-jin visited Chairman A’s home in Cheongdam-dong, arriving in a vehicle provided by Mr. B. The three of them talked for over three hours in the meeting room of H Villa.

“Can I bring NewJeans with me?”

Chairman A relayed to ‘Dispatch’ exactly what Min Hee-jin had said during their conversation. He explained, “It seemed like Min Hee-jin and Mr. B were already planning an exit strategy from HYBE.”

Could this be unrelated to the tampering allegations? At the time, Min Hee-jin was still an inside director at ADOR. NewJeans’ contract was valid until July 31, 2029. This meeting constituted prior contact before the contract expired.

Of course, if their plan succeeded, it would be tampering. If it failed, it would simply be labeled a “meeting.”

⑪ Mr. B’s Role Was Key

B is a member of NewJeans. Mr. B is the uncle of a NewJeans member. Min Hee-jin refers to him as "father." It was Mr. B who introduced Min Hee-jin to Chairman A and directly proposed an investment.

“Mr. B contacted me first. He asked if I could invest about 5 billion won in Min Hee-jin. It seemed like the two were communicating closely about the investment,” said Chairman A.

In fact, Mr. B was quite busy. He met with Min Hee-jin separately, as well as with the NewJeans family. He then briefed Chairman A about the situation.

“I said I was looking for investors. That’s why I made the appointment. I explained the two structures, and we had an in-depth conversation for about three hours,” Chairman A revealed.

⑫ ‘Dabolink’ Was the First to Respond

According to the Financial Supervisory Service’s electronic disclosure system, Dabolink (referred to as ‘Dabo’) announced the appointment of a new director on October 2, just two days after meeting with Min Hee-jin.

Lee XX: Newly appointed director of Dabolink.

“Lee XX and Park XX are both close to Min Hee-jin. I added them to the board. If there were no investment discussions that day (September 30), why would I have appointed these people?” questioned Chairman A.

However, the board meeting never took place because Min Hee-jin abruptly denied having any contact with Dabolink. Chairman A subsequently removed the two individuals from the list of directors.

It remains unclear whether this change was due to Min Hee-jin having second thoughts or a prank orchestrated by Mr. B. Chairman A expressed frustration to Dispatch, saying, “This is the first time I’ve been subjected to such a prank.”

“They came to my house to meet me, but now they claim they never made any contact? The stock price dropped 50% in a short period because of that lie. It’s truly absurd,” said Chairman A.

⑬ The Principle of Bullshit Asymmetry

This principle suggests that the energy required to refute nonsense far exceeds the energy needed to spread it. This concept was famously articulated by an Italian programmer.

“I make it clear that I have never had any contact or exchanged opinions with any entity,” claimed Min Hee-jin in her statement.

Whenever Min Hee-jin faces an unfavorable situation, she often claims to have no recollection. It’s akin to saying, “How could I possibly remember a KakaoTalk message from three years ago?”

(However, the infamous "○○ dog fat" message wasn’t from three years ago; it was sent just three months prior.)

Last September, Dispatch received a tip stating that "Min Hee-jin is meeting with officials from listed companies." Given her track record, they felt compelled to invest significant resources in verifying the claim.

The same effort was required to expose the contradictions and hypocrisy in her narrative.

SCREENSHOT ABOVE:

"I was shamelessly flirting with ○○○ lol."

"I sat close, told them to come closer because I couldn’t hear."

"I feel like if we sleep together once, they’d completely fall for me..."

"It's not that I want to seduce them with my body... but if sleeping together makes things easier, then I might consider it."

⑭ Inappropriate Behavior Directed at HYBE Senior Executives

In 2021, Min Hee-jin facilitated the transfer of NewJeans from Source Music to ADOR. At that time, she attempted to strike a deal in an unconventional and morally questionable manner.

Min Hee-jin’s perspective on her work, workplace, and women appears to be abnormal. She does not seem to concern herself with the means or methods she employs to achieve her goals (though she insists these methods are not physical).

“I was wagging my tail like crazy at XXX (a senior HYBE executive). I told him to sit closer and come closer so I could hear him.”

“It’s not that I want to engage in body lobbying… but if I could sleep with someone once, it would make things easier.”

“XXX seems like someone who would completely fall in love with you after just one night together,” said Min Hee-jin in July 2021.

Min Hee-jin sought help from 4–5 men to perform love spells. Shamans were involved, attempting to spiritually “enter” these men to influence them.

However, her “flirtation” with one individual, referred to as Mr. Gaejeossi, failed because he resisted her. Despite this failure, she ultimately succeeded in bringing NewJeans to ADOR.

“One person’s malicious actions should not harm the ‘essence of karma.’ It was really bad,” Min Hee-jin stated in her resignation letter.

But is she truly qualified to discuss karma?

⑮ Was It Really That Bad?

“One person’s malicious actions should not harm the ‘essence of karma.’ It was really bad.” (Resignation statement)

Is Min Hee-jin truly in a position to discuss the essence of karma? She benefited from the “gems” unearthed by Source Music through unconventional means. By her own admission, she “wagged her tail” rather than working hard for her success.

Can she genuinely speak of karma? Min Hee-jin used NewJeans as both a shield and a weapon—using their live broadcasts as a sword and their national inspection appearances as a spear. While she reaped the glory, NewJeans bore the scars.

Is she truly qualified to discuss karma? Min Hee-jin operated covertly, devising new strategies behind the scenes. When rumors arose, she dismissed them as “groundless,” claiming they were attacks from HYBE or unfounded gossip. Had photographic evidence not emerged, her narrative would likely have prevailed once again.

A quote often misattributed to Nazi propagandist Paul Joseph Goebbels states:

“Agitation can be accomplished in a single sentence, but refuting it requires dozens of pages of documents and evidence. By the time the refutation is complete, the public has already been agitated.”
