Jin's Q&A For His Album Happy

source: https://m.entertain.naver.com/now/article/117/0003888496

Here is a Q&A on Jin's first solo album, 'Happy'

Q. How do you feel about releasing your first solo album, 'Happy'?

First of all, it's meaningful to release a solo album under my name, and I hope that my fans will like it. And I hope that everyone who listens to this album will be happy. A lot of my opinions were reflected in this album. Since it's an album that fully reflects my tastes, I think I'd be happy if people said, "The song is good" and "I want to listen to it again." (Laughs)

Q. What's the point of appreciating 'Happy'?

This album was composed based on the sound of a band that I like. Since band sounds are especially more exciting when you listen to them at a concert, I recommend that you listen to it while imagining what it would be like to hear this song at a concert.

Q. How did you feel when you first heard the title song, 'Running Wild'?

It made you think of nostalgia from the past. That's why I chose 'Running Wild' as the title song, hoping that those who listen to the song will also feel comfortable and familiar.

Q. Behind the scenes of working with Gary Barlow of the legendary British pop band Take That, who participated as a producer.

I made a lot of pronunciation corrections while recording. It was a bit confusing because the American and British pronunciations are different, but I tried my best to use the correct pronunciation while recording several times. Of course, it was also because my pronunciation is not great. (Laughs)

Q. What did you pay attention to when making 'I'll Be There', a rockabilly genre that is somewhat unfamiliar in Korea?

It wasn't difficult because it was a song I made from the beginning with the idea of singing it. However, I had to make the lyrics 'One Two Three Four' exciting, but it didn't come out well, so I recorded it several times.

Q. Behind the scenes of writing the lyrics for the fan song 'Geurium-e'.

I wrote down a few lines of the feelings I had after becoming a trainee. It was a record of my honest feelings, like 'The fans are waiting, I have to sing, I have to perform'. Based on that, I looked back on my feelings at the time and wrote lyrics about wanting to return to the fans as soon as possible. I hope this feeling will reach the fans.

Q. What makes the current Jin 'happy'?

It seems like you've been active in many ways lately. Seeing the fans enjoying and being happy while watching those activities made me happy too. I thought, 'This is why I work.'

Q. Finally, something you want to say to ARMYs around the world.

First, thank you to ARMYs who waited for the album. I think the album 'Happy' could be released because of you. Our ARMYs, I will show my face a lot more than the other members, so don't be bored! I love you!

Meanwhile, Jin will communicate with fans through the comeback live broadcast 'Jin Comeback Live: What is 'Happy'?' on the global super fan platform Weverse at 2:30 PM on the 15th. He will then hold the fan showcase 'Jin 'Happy' Special Stage' at Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 16th and 17th.
