COURT REJECTS MIN HEEJIN'S INJUNCTION TO BE REAPPOINTED AS CEO

The court has denied the request for an injunction to reinstate former Adore CEO Min Hee-jin, who was removed following controversy over her alleged attempt to seize management control.
On the 29th, the Seoul Central District Court’s 50th Civil Agreement Division, presided by Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon, dismissed Min's injunction request against HYBE. A dismissal in this context means that the court closed the case without ruling on its merits, as it found that the request did not meet the legal requirements.
In April, HYBE accused Min of attempting to gain control of Adore's management and of breaching trust. In August, Adore’s board of directors formally dismissed Min, appointing HYBE’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Kim Joo-young, as her replacement. However, on the 13th of last month, Min filed an injunction to convene an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting and to reinstate internal directors.
