Kim Joo-young, the newly appointed CEO of ADOR, the agency behind the girl group New Jeans, has begun emphasizing the importance of "organizational stabilization" within the company. CEO Kim stated, "In line with HYBE's principle of separating production and management across its labels, ADOR will also implement this separation. Min Hee-jin will step down as CEO but will remain an internal director at ADOR, continuing to oversee the production of New Jeans."
She acknowledged that changes are inevitable as they address and reorganize current issues, but emphasized that these changes are intended to foster the growth and development of both ADOR's members and artists. CEO Kim reassured the team, saying, "We will work together to ensure the continued success of New Jeans, alongside the dedicated ADOR members who have persevered through challenging times."
According to the music industry on the 2nd, CEO Kim sent an email to ADOR employees on the 27th of last month, the day she assumed her position, expressing her commitment to meeting with them regularly to discuss how to ensure smooth and efficient operations, improve processes, and share progress. With a background in human resources, having served as HR team leader at Yuhan-Kimberly and HR headquarters manager at Krafton, as well as holding the position of CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer) at parent company HYBE, CEO Kim is well-equipped for her new role.
On the 28th of last month, just one day after her appointment, CEO Kim met with ADOR employees through an online and offline meeting to explain the reasons behind the leadership change. During this meeting, discussions were reportedly held on payment structures and contract practices.
Following the CEO transition, ADOR has decided to adopt 'Slack' as its official communication and work reporting tool, moving away from previous practices where instructions were given via KakaoTalk. This change comes in response to controversies that arose during an audit when sensitive conversations from personal KakaoTalk messages were disclosed.
Regarding allegations of workplace sexual harassment and bullying of a former employee, as well as attempts to cover up these incidents, ADOR has committed to conducting a reinvestigation to uncover the truth and to implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
Additionally, ADOR plans to consult with former CEO Min Hee-jin concerning the production work for New Jeans. However, Min Hee-jin has strongly opposed her dismissal as CEO and the contract delegating the production duties of New Jeans, arguing that signing such a contract could lead to harassment and unreasonable accusations of contract breaches.

Also, thank you for keeping up and digesting the information for us. There is way too much going on. She sprung this literally as soon as the boys enlisted. Is there an actual strategic benefit to this that I am not seeing?
