Min Hee-jin's lawyers argued that HYBE broke its promise to allow her to debut the first girl group under her direction. Even after ADOR was established and during the promotion of NEWJEANS before their debut, Min was not permitted to use the phrase "All teens" because HYBE was concerned that LE SSERAFIM would not be seen as Min's girl group.
Bang Si-hyuk did not acknowledge the greetings from NEWJEANS members, as evidenced by the members' KakaoTalk messages, which were presented in court.
HYBE has an obligation to protect NEWJEANS from infringement according to their exclusive contract. Min Hee-jin did not violate any terms of this agreement. NEWJEANS is scheduled to release an album in 2024 and embark on a world tour. The group has expressed that they cannot continue without Min and wish to keep working with her, a sentiment supported by their fans.
On April 16, HYBE announced that NEWJEANS would go on an extended vacation, which caused distress among the members and their parents. Min's dismissal would cause irreparable harm to NEWJEANS, ADOR, and Min Hee-jin herself.

The only reason I could think of that I would ever go down this path is basically to stall, make time for something that she and her lawyers are waiting for....I have seen nonsensical stuff pushed in court just to drag it on longer...hopefully it actually is the main strategy, then I would think HYBE has the legal upper hand.

2024-05-17 17:50:02 +0000 UTCIt’s shocking that the argument about Bang not acknowledging NJ members and that they were not the first girl group to debut under Hybe was actually something presented in court. I feel like it’s so juvenile.
