Just to clarify, I have never gotten a screenshot of a Bit Hit group in a streaming farm. So, no BTS, Lee Hyun or TXT.
It’s the psychological phenomenon of hype and crowd interest (mob mentality). If you see a lot of people interested in something, you might be more inclined to check it out. If you see something is scarce (concert tickets) you might be more inclined to overvalue it.
Some careers are actually built around this strategy. Some of them end up becoming really successful. They fake it till they make it.

If this is organic and fan-based then I am happy for those creative enough to try and regain a voice for the artist. If it is another example of corporate manipulation then we are back at the original problem.
