HYBE Disclosed MHJ Accepted Bribes + Reaction To RM's Come Back To Me MV Tomorrow
Added 2024-05-10 06:27:31 +0000 UTCI will upload the reaction video tomorrow.
Yesterday, ADOR accused Hybe of harassing a staff during the audit, even following her home.
Below is ADOR's statement and after that is Hybe's response. No need to give Koreaboo or Allkpop and other trash websites clicks.
"Ahead of the scheduled ADOR shareholders' meeting, ADOR employees suffered mistreatment and harassment from the illogical manner of investigation assumed by the HYBE auditing team, and so we would like to issue a statement.
Around 7 PM on May 9, after business hours, the HYBE auditing team began to interrogate a team leader of ADOR's style directing department. This interrogation persisted for over 5 hours until past midnight on May 10, and the auditors went so far as to follow the employee to their home to confiscate their laptop and private phone, encroaching into personal matters unrelated to business affairs. Furthermore, abusing the right to perform an audit, the auditors employed irrational tactics such as applying mental pressure, threatening that the employee 'would have to go to the police station if they did not cooperate'. Despite the fact that the employee made known her early work schedule the next day, the auditors continued to use interrogation methods involving pressure, interfering in business operations.
According to this employee, HYBE's auditing team problematized the employee contract between ADOR and the style directing team leader, claiming that 'there is clear evidence of professional malpractice and embezzlement in this contract; therefore a lawsuit will be filed' and pressuring the employee. However, the contract in question was one that followed the general conventions of this industry, and its contents were already shared with the HR and ER departments at HYBE in February of this year. HYBE auditors can access details to this contract without applying such brash interrogation tactics.
In the advertisement industry, labor such as hair, makeup, and styling is sourced from outside sources when carrying out shoots, and most of the time laborers sourced during these shoots are freelancers, who sign contracts with the advertiser.
At ADOR, when NewJeans carried out advertisement shoots, labor such as styling was sourced internally rather than from outside sources. There are less risks to using house employees for such work, permitting a consistence in the quality of styling, and they can also respond with flexibility when sudden schedule changes occur, while also assisting with protecting the privacy of the artists. During these occasions, our house employees received payments for their labor from the advertiser, and when these employees also met their incentive goals, ADOR made sure to consider these external payments.
In 2023, during a calculation of performance related pay to be distributed, ADOR determined that there were too many advertisement deals, not to mention an increase in other affairs outside of advertisements, making it difficult for the house employees to handle all styling jobs for advertisements. Beginning in 2024, ADOR completed negotiations for the styling to be sourced from outside sources for advertisement shoots. This change was reported to HYBE's HR and ER departments in February of this year. What HYBE wishes to problematize here is the amount that this employee received from the advertiser through a freelancer contract, a payment they received instead of an incentive payment. This payment does not affect ADOR in any way, and cannot be evidence of embezzlement."
ADOR went on to claim that HYBE's auditing team was "interfering in business, imposing pressure, and invading employees' privacy" in order to find any trace of faults in ADOR's operations.
According to ADOR, the employee who was subject to over 5 hours of interrogation is considering filing a lawsuit against HYBE for forcing them to agree access to their private information and threatening.

"This is a notice from HYBE.
We would like to clarify that the audit which took place on the evening of May 9 KST with a team leader at ADOR occurred with full consent from the auditee, with no pressuring involved.
Below, we would like to provide an explanation for each of the false claims made by CEO Min Hee Jin's side.
▲ On the claims that the duration of the audit continued from 7 PM until past midnight
The team leader who was being investigated came into work at 6 PM that evening. Upon coming in, the team leader was asked to cooperate for the audit which would begin at 7 PM, and the auditee agreed.
▲ On the claims that the auditors followed a female employee home after 10 PM to pressure them for information
During the audit, the team leader admitted that they received large amounts of money and goods from outside businesses for years, under CEO Min Hee Jin's permission. The team leader then expressed their intention to submit their laptop, which was at home, for evidence. As a result, one female member of the auditing team followed the auditee to their home with consent in order to collect the laptop.
▲ On the claims the auditee was forced to sign agreements for the use of their private information
The team leader consented to the use of their private information for the audit, and even submitted their laptop to cooperate with the audit.
▲ On the claims that the auditors tried to confiscate the auditee's personal phone
CEO Min Hee Jin and several employees of ADOR refuse to use the corporate messaging platform used by all HYBE employees and instead use KakaoTalk for all of their business discussions. As a result, the auditing team asked the team leader to submit messages saved on their phone as evidence, but the team leader refused, and the auditors did not press the matter.
▲ On the claims that the contract follows the general conventions of the advertisement industry and cannot serve as evidence for embezzlement
There is no convention in this industry which allows a full-time employee of a company to receive hundreds of millions of won in payments directly from an advertiser. Amounts of money which should have been considered sales were transferred to private accounts, and the fact that the CEO of the company not only knew about this but approved of it for years, this is clearly illegal. Furthermore, CEO Min Hee Jin has made no attempts to retrieve illegally distributed payments nor take follow-up measures regarding the issue. We at HYBE wish to find out where the hundreds of millions of won which this team leader received through illegal means ended up through a thorough follow-up investigation.
We also attach a portion of the conversation which occurred between Min Hee Jin and the management of ADOR regarding this investigation.
Min Hee Jin is all too aware that large amounts of money and goods were embezzled while she turned a blind eye. When the HR department at HYBE inquired of this matter, Min attempted to wave off the matter as unimportant, despite being aware of the gravity of the issue. Then, internally, Min ordered the team leader to cease the embezzlement while blaming HYBE.
It is a great pity that Min Hee Jin's side has once again tried to mislead the public with a statement containing false information. This is also a serious act of defamation.
It is furthermore regretful that Min Hee Jin's side chose to describe the individual who underwent the audit, jeopardizing their identity. Because an employee of ADOR, and not a board member, was subject to this audit, HYBE had no intention of revealing details of this investigation to the public. However, due to Min's statement, the nation is now aware that this employee underwent an audit. If Min Hee Jin had thoughts to protect this employee, she should not have publicized the case.
Finally, we notify that we will take all civil and criminal legal measures possible against this case."
These are the KakaoTalk messages attached by HYBE:
Min Hee Jin: So here’s what will be said at the meeting tomorrow (both of you listen carefully)
Good work the past year (introduction nothing more than a formality), since ___’s incentive is replaced by the advertising fee, mention the exact amount so that they can know that the advertising fee was ___won.
Make them aware that it is a large amount (surprisingly, this is someone who can pretend not to know that it is a large amount even if they do know)
Sometimes we should cosplay like lacking social skills in order to make people aware
1. Use HYBE as an excuse to notify about changes in advertising-related tasks by saying that HYBE tackled this matter.
(It is the basic guideline that concurrent employment is prohibited in HYBE, but actually I permitted this under my authority. But since a risk has surfaced, it would be foolish to explain the situation in a way that will direct the resentment toward ADOR)
Humans are cunning so say they are grateful when they receive an unexpected benefit, but they are not really good at evaluating the extent of the benefit. However, when they are put in the same situation as others due to a penalty (even though there is no loss in reality), it is common for them to feel resentment.
You know what I mean, right
Lee: Yes
S: Yes
Min Hee Jin: So in times like this, we should use HYBE.
When else would we get to use HYBE
There is an actual possibility of problems occurring in terms of HR.
HYBE requested corrections and improvements. Saying it like this will be less painful for them
Anyway, moving on, that is that, but there are criticisms that there are many problems within ADOR as well.
Continuing with
(We should never make adjustments based solely on the HYBE’s attacks. If we do so, this may result in their lack of awareness of the work that was handled wrongly by themselves.)
So
2. List the problems and make them aware of the need for corrective action for improvement.
Actually, this is the most important part. / The problem of individuals monopolizing labor costs has caused other employees to feel deprived (in fact, if the managers want to bring up problems, they can raise issues even now) This may have already been mentioned in 1, but it needs to be said again.___ is a ___ person so we need to specifically let them know what kind of problem this is.
S: Okay
Min Hee Jin: Isn’t the advertising fee received all alone, don’t you think it is a problem that the assistants are working without getting paid? Honestly, when we first gave permission,
it didn’t occur to us that we should think about this matter seriously either. (Because at that time, there were too few assistants, and they were considered more like part-timers)In fact, there is this problem because ___ voluntarily disclosed this to us first.
Maybe it should’ve been done, but it wasn’t
In fact, we just took advantage of the situation on purpose (making an excuse for being short-thinking). ___ also
S: Yes
Lee: In the beginning, Min Hee Jin was being considerate, but as the advertising amount grew,
1) A structure where the compensation for areas other than the main job gets too large,
2) A structure where the team’s resources work for ___’s personal reward.
3) The issues where the limited resources affect the schedule
occurred. These problems are in a situation where individual efforts alone are not enough, but it can only be resolved through changing the work process/structure.
Min Hee Jin: Yes, this is actually a big problem internally as well
This is also a task we must resolve first before being caught by HYBE
Audit issues may arise, actually.
ADOR also announced that an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of shareholders will be held later this month. They stated, “Today (May 10), all involved individuals including auditors attended the board meeting, and it was decided that an EGM will be held on May 31. The agenda for the EGM was decided to be the content requested by HYBE.”

Thanks for this one. This was really informative. There's so many things wrong with the statement from MHJ side but I will not rant or criticize about it because it's too much too type for me rn. And my energy is frankly drained because of all the frustration i feel from this whole issue. I understand that it's not in hybe's advantage legally speaking to disclose evidence or logics they have against MHJ in public as it deters the value of it being later presented at court and i suppose that's why they weren't revealing much up until now and hence why people were supporting MHJ claiming hybe doesn't have evidence and is lying just because they didn't post it but were claiming that MHJ is right just because she posted a lot of lies. With that said, their decision to reveal this finding must not have been an easy decision but honestly they did need to do something about the public opinion too because according to surveys 60% of korean youth people are in MHJ side and in korea, public opinion sometimes does play a role in how the judge judges a situation according to people from korea and those who have observed some previous cases closely(source of this judge swaying tactic is Sean from seoulite tv)

2024-05-11 07:49:04 +0000 UTCAt this point I am really going to be surprised if anyone is interested in working with MHJ again. This hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper. The pendulum might be gaining speed. Can Hybe supeona Kakao for the messages? Until BTS comes out and says that they don't trust Hybe, I'm backing Hybe.
