I'm still workshopping this character. I can't say yet if she fits "here" or whether this is something else entirely. I had this scene in mind and I had to get it out.
It may not look like it but the past couple months have been pretty productive thanks to a lull at my real job. Most of that's been in rough outlines for comic pages and animation work. Its not the most visible work but I think I'm set up for the rest of the year at my current pace.
However, that doesn't leave much room for longer projects. At the rate of a page a week, maybe two it would half a year to get even a standard comic. So I'm thinking of other approaches. One could be to hire collaborators--ha ha no. Another would be to use some of the AI-lite tools. Clip Studio can do base coloring when given a reference image, I think. Blender can do the same with animations.
Another option would be to use a more rough/sketchy style. There was a well-known artist basically skipped inking and intricate colors, and his stuff was awesome. I wish I could recall his name... Anyway the pages above are still too rough to pass for that, but I think the results are promising. Maybe I'll work on that in the future. Any suggestions are of course welcome.
