Black Mesa Video Scrapped, Wind Waker Video Moving Forward
Added 2021-07-31 19:15:45 +0000 UTCHey everyone, I have some unfortunate news. After much deliberation, I've decided to scrap the Black Mesa video (for now). I still have a lot to say about the game, but as the video came together, I realized that it would have only echoed what has been said about the game before, or served as an effective replacement for just playing the game yourself. The pressure to finish this video on a schedule only made things worse, so I'll have to save it for another time when I have the drive to rework it.
I sincerely apologize for this. I know many of you were really looking forward to this one, but I would rather make something worthwhile in honour of the Crowbar Collective's work, than something ephemeral in order to align with my highest viewed videos.
With that said, I'm nowhere near finished with Valve games on this channel. Left 4 Dead, Garry's Mod, some more Half-Life and Portal, even Team Fortress 2 - all of these games will still have a place here moving forward. Just not right away. The forms that these videos take on will be clear to me in time.
I'll be moving forward with my video on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. This break has caused my priorities to drastically shift, and I'm still taking things day by day. This unfortunately was a decision that had to be made in order to make the best content that I can. Stuff that I can be proud of.
